Alpha’s Predestined Bride

EPISODE 22 Devoured in the pool

MOON STONE PACK

Meagan opened her eyes and reached to the small device that was beeping under the second pillow. The red light on the alarm beeped 5:30 pm. She stretched her body and yawned at the same time. It was time to go for swimming but she rolled on her side and pulled the bed covers over her head. Seconds clicked by and soon she sat up abruptly, remembering that her bag was still at the warlord’s house.

Meagan hopped out of bed, deciding that she would call at his home, of course without accepting his invite again and she won’t mention it that she is going to the pool close to his home. She wore her swim suit under the mini skirt and top that she had changed into, she grabbed another inhaler from the box and headed out of the room.

No one was in the pool when Meagan got to the area. It made her happy that she has the whole place to herself. She had dropped by at Carl’s home but got no response after knocking about four times.Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Meagan kicked off her sandals, pulled her top over her head and pulled down her mini skirt quickly. The bikini she wore fitted her perfectly and it exposed more of her sculpted figure and dazzling complexion. She sat at the edge and put one leg into the pool, it sent shivers throughout her body. Her eyes surveyed the still water, as she remembered one of her plans to buy a house with a pool someday. Meagan enjoyed swimming a lot.

She set her clothes and inhaler together at one spot before stepping deeper into the pool. She went deeper until the water reached her waistline. Her eyes caught a glimpse of something floating on the water but it disappeared. She became scared when it appeared and disappeared in a fast pace again.

Immediately Meagan started back to the bank, terrified that something might devour her in the pool and no one would come to her rescue. But something grabbed her ankle tightly and Meagan screamed out in fear. She used her other leg to fight off whatever had grabbed her ankle. And all of a sudden a manly figure pushed his way up and clasped his hand over her mouth to stop her from screaming. Meagan back was against a solid chest, knowing it was a man so she fought harder.

“Allison,” the familiar voice whispered into her ears. “Relax, it’s me. Carl.” He turned her to face him.

Fear crossed her expression as she stared into his eyes. Her heartbeat rise three times higher. He just scared the hell out of her and she has the gut to let a smile play on his lips! She almost lost her breathe when he grabbed her legs!

Meagan pushed him away and continued towards the bank so she would leave.

“Allison?” Carl called her but she didn’t stop. He knew he had startled her by what he meant as a playful trick.

Carl had just completed a swimming lap when he sensed the presence of someone. He recognized the smell because his wolf had picked up her scent after sharing a kiss with her. He had stayed under the water so she wouldn’t changed her mind about swimming if she had seen him.

Meagan was surprised to see him and had froze almost immediately in fear after she heard his voice. She reached for her inhaler and puffed it once into her mouth to ease her fast breathing.

Carl was right behind her, watching her as she did her thing. She was truly asthmatic like he had predicted. Guilt crept up in his mind as she stepped out of the pool. She was leaving without saying a word to him.

“Hey Allison, I didn’t mean to startle you.” Carl pushed a hand through his wet hair after got out of the pool.

Beads of water dropped over his sculpted and expanded chest. He stopped her from taking her skirt but she jerked free.

“Don’t touch me.” Meagan breathed heavily.

Carl noticed she was still trying to calm her breathing. “I am sorry. But you have to calm yourself down.” His eyes pleaded with her when she looked into them.

Meagan looked away without saying a word. He was right. Her gaze flicked to his bare chest and she admired him. She was angry at him for startling her but everything melted down when fantasy kicked in her head again. Meagan admitted that he looked pretty damn perfect standing in front of her, all wet and gleaming in sexiness. Her eyes undressed him as he held her wrist again.

“I am sorry.” He said.

Carl wore a blue swim trunk that displayed his manly bulge. She couldn’t help the images that filled her head as he stood almost naked in front of her.

Meagan swallowed hard as she let him lead her back into the pool. He made her sit at the edge while he entered the pool, his strong arms on both sides as if he was guiding her.

He waited for her to catch enough breathe before speaking up. “Are you okay?”

Meagan licked her lips and the gesture turned on a switch in him. He tried to hold back from kissing her.

“I am fine. You scared me.” She toyed with the inhaler in her hand.

“I wouldn’t have pulled that trick on you if I knew you were asthmatic.” He muttered.

“Don’t worry, I am fine now.” Meagan said, still not looking at him.

“I am sorry.” Carl apologized again.

He held her hands to stop her from toying with the inhaler so she could look into his eyes. “Are you still mad at me?” He asked in a rasp.

She didn’t give any response. Carl sighed.

“You left your bag at my home. I have it here with me with a plan that I would go into the pack and send a little wolf to bring it to the guesthouse.” He said.

Still she didn’t say anything. The effect his nearly naked body was having on her was too much for her to bear.

“Since you are here to swim so have a good one.” He made an attempt to leave but Meagan held on his hands. She wanted him to stay.
