The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2757

Marius was unconscious the entire journey as we rushed to the hospital.

I was devastated as I looked at the knife in his chest. I could not say anything. I only knew that tears were streaming down my face non-stop.

Theo was at the side comforting me, but I could also see the deep pain on his face.

The road to the hospital had never felt so long even when the ambulance was able to shuffle through traffic simply.

Why were we not there yet? Why? Marius had to hold on!

I looked down at Marius who was unconscious.

I always thought he was too noisy, but now that he was quiet, I hoped he would just keep the racket up.

We finally arrived at the hospital.

Marius was sent to the operating room. My heart felt like it was on needles as I looked at the light at the top. Unable to sit still, I paced back and forth in the hallway.

"Heaven helps the worthy. He'll be fine," Theo comforted me softly with an arm wrapped around my shoulders.

I raised my head to look at him, my tears still flowing. "It's all my fault, it's all my fault. If it weren't for me, he wouldn't have gotten hurt. Theo, the knife looked like it stabbed his heart. Will he..." I gripped Theo's hand tightly, not daring to finish my sentence. He pulled me into his arms, and that gave me strength. "He won't. Marius is so noisy. Those up there won't want him. Don't worry."

I could hear the shiver in Theo's voice. He was surely very upset.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

Leaning my head on Theo's shoulder, I did not dare say anything anymore and just let my tears fall.

Even though crying like this was useless, I could not control myself.

Not long later, Shannon rushed over. "How's the situation? How's Marius?"

I directed my gaze to Shannon. When I did, my eyes that had been drying filled with tears again. "Shannon, Marius, his heart, it... it got stabbed. He's still in surgery. We've no news yet," I said to Shannon through sobs.

"How did this happen? Wasn't everything coming to an end? What's wrong with Sylvester? Why doesn't he just get it?!" Shannon hugged me. "Wanda, I'm also terribly upset that Marius is hurt, but sadness isn't going to fix anything. We still need to wait for the surgery to be over. So, don't cry. You make me want to cry too." Shannon sniffled when she finished, her eyes faintly red.

I wiped my tears. "Alright."

"Here, a tissue." Arthur handed her a tissue.

I realized that he had come too. I accepted the tissue and thanked him. We then waited at the door.

Time seemed to crawl and we heard nothing from the operating room.

"The operation must be difficult for it to take so long." I lowered my head and frowned.

"They have to be careful since it's his heart. Looking at it another way, Marius can definitely be saved at's why the doctor is taking so long," Theo said softly.

Shannon echoed, "Yes, this must be the case."

"I hope so." I looked toward the operating room. The door was still closed.

"It'll be fine, it'll be fine," I muttered silently and prayed for Marius in my heart.

I had no idea how long had passed but finally... the door of the operating room opened and the doctor came out. "How's the situation, Doctor?"

I held my breath, feeling a little scared to hear the doctor's answer. I had to know, though. I stared at the doctor, waiting for his response...
