The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2758

"Fortunately, the knife didn't penetrate too deep and he was brought to the hospital in time," the doctor said. "We've successfully removed the knife, but the patient lost a lot of blood, so he has to rest and will only wake up later. You can and go see him in the ICU."

"Okay, thank you," Theo thanked the doctor.

I covered my face. "Thank goodness, he's fine. Thank goodness, he's fine."

Immediately after that, Marius was pushed out.

He looked pale and weak and had an oxygen bottle attached to him. The doctors pushed him away from us.

I looked in the direction he was leaving, crying uncontrollably.

The ward.

Marius still had not woken up. I stared at his haggard face sadly.

"Mmmph..."

I hurried forward when I heard him groan. "Marius?"

Marius opened his eyes slowly. When he saw us, he forced himself to smile before looking at me. "Don't worry, I won't die. Those below said I was too noisy and let me live for a few more years before I can go down again."

His voice was weak, and it sounded like he was having a hard time speaking. He was still the same as usual, though.

I smiled with tears in my eyes. "You're so noisy just after waking up. You should stop talking. You'll kill yourself from the pain."

"Are you willing to allow that? I got hurt because of you." His dry lips were moving but still, he sounded the same.

I held his hand and looked at him sincerely. "Marius, I know I've said this many times, but I have to say it again. Thank you. Thank you very much for appearing in my life."

A smile broke out on Marius' face. "Even if I die, I'll be satisfied from hearing this."

I covered his mouth. "Don't say such unlucky things. You'll be blessed if you survive this catastrophe."

"That's right. That's how the old saying goes." Shannon laughed.

Marius was finally discharged from the hospital after a month's recuperation. Although the doctor advised him to stay for a while more, he would not agree and kept kicking up a fuss.

After leaving the hospital, he told me that he wanted to rest for some time and travel the world to see if he could meet the woman for him. Theo and I sent him to the airport.

I was surprised when I saw him with only one piece of luggage. "Are you men all so sloppy with your luggage?"All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

"I just need enough clothes. I can buy the rest. You think I'm short of money?" Marius said with a delighted expression.

Theo and I laughed helplessly. "Alright then. Have a safe journey."

Marius looked like he had something he wanted to say and glanced at Theo. "President Grant, would it be alright for me to talk to your wife alone for a bit?"

"Only this time." Theo looked at me. "I'll wait for you at the side." With that said, he shoved his hands into his pockets and turned around, taking a few steps to the back. He did not look at us.

Marius came closer to me and then hugged me. I felt a little unnatural and struggled a little. "You..." "Just let me hug you."

I could not bear to refuse him at his tone.

"Don't worry. President Grant isn't looking at us. Just treat it as charity to me from you, alright?"

I stopped struggling and let him hug me.

Marius seemed to be smiling as he said, "Wanda, take care of yourself when I'm not around."

He called me Wanda. I could really feel his emotions this time.

"Marius, I..."

"If you're going to thank me, no need. I'm happy to have spent this time by your side. Remember to think of me when I'm not around. If Theo bullies you, you have to tell me. I'll come back immediately and take you away!"

He said something so serious with such a joking tone.
