"This is just your excuse," Lysander said coldly to Sully. "You know exactly what you did to my mother."
Sully's face flushed with indignation. "What did I do to her? I loved Yessenia more than anything. She's gone, and I still can't get over it. You all are living your lives, and I'm the only one who still remembers her. She was your mother, but you've already forgotten her." Lysander's expression remained icy. "You cheated on her. And right after she gave birth, you told her about it. It was your who caused her death."
"I told her because I knew she wasn't happy with Wyatt," Sully retorted. "She didn't like Wyatt at all. It was Wyatt who forced her to stay with him. I only wanted to save her."
"But you killed her." Lysander shot back. "She was happy with her life at the time. If you had just waited... if you'd told her later, she might not have been so paranoid and desperate to divorce him."
In the journal Elara had given him, his mother had written about everything. At least before Sully appeared, she had been happy. Sully had ruined everything.
Sully's eyes narrowed. "What proof do you have?"
"She left a journal," Lysander replied. "It's all written there. You were the one who caused her death."
"That's impossible." Sully's face darkened at the mention of the journal.
At that moment, a person rushed out of Adam's hospital room. "Doctor!"
Adam was gravely ill. The doctors quickly arrived, and Sully, who had a broken leg, sat quietly nearby. The room was eerily still.
The doctor came out to deliver the news that Adam had passed away. Sully remained silent. He probably knew what that meant. Without Adam as his protection, with Lysander now determined to seek justice, Sully had lost all his support. After Adam's funeral, Sully was taken into custody. Lysander had made a backup of his mother's journal and showed it to Sully.
Reading the journal, Sully saw how Yessenia had been content with her life in the Hawthorne family, and how his arrival had destroyed everything. Sully still couldn't bring himself to believe it, but now, with no other options, he had to accept it.

Elara had recovered a bit and was brought back home, looking much better.
She went to visit Aubrey, who had been locked up for a while. Elara opened the door and found Aubrey sitting on the floor. He looked up when he saw her. When he saw Elara, he said, "Elara..."
"You still remember me?" Elara gazed at him, her voice cold. "Aubrey, you really deserve everything that's coming to you."Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
Everything he had done, each action, was enough to land him in prison for years. When Elara scolded him, Aubrey didn't deny it. His eyes dulled with regret. "I know."
At the time, Aubrey had been out of his mind, deceived by their lies. They had only asked him to go after Wyatt. Once Wyatt was sick, Felicity would be free to leave. All Aubrey had to do was turn a blind eye, and his mother would be happy. It was almost as if he'd done it on a whim, maybe because he hated Wyatt so much. Wyatt, who was his father, had always been so biased, completely disregarding Felicity.
Elara looked at Aubrey with a mix of hurt and disbelief. "I treated you well, but why did you do this to me? I know you had issues with the Hawthorne family, but when your mother was sick, it was me who stayed by her side. "Didn't I treat her well? And in the end, you helped them take my child."
Before the time travel, Asher had made Elara feel cold. She had tried to be kind to both Aubrey and Felicity, but once again. she had been betrayed.
Aubrey whispered, "I'm sorry."
He had acted on impulse back then. But later, when Elara asked him to find the child, guilt suddenly overwhelmed him. That was why Aubrey had gone to bring the child back. What he didn't expect was that Elara was kidnapped in the process. Elara's voice grew colder, "You really deserve to die for what you did." If it hadn't been for Aubrey's collusion, Elara and the child wouldn't have gone through all of this.
Aubrey looked at Elara and said, "I'm sorry, Elara. It's my fault. I'm just glad you're back safe. I'll take responsibility for the mistakes I've made."
Elara sat down beside him and examined him carefully. "So, you're only apologizing to me?"
Aubrey replied, "I haven't wronged anyone except you."
"You also caused your father to end up in the hospital. He raised you for so many years, and you don't think you've wronged him?" Elara said. Aubrey let out a bitter laugh. "He's so arrogant. He deserves this. This is the price he pays for how he treated my mother.
"Is that so?" Elara stared at Aubrey.
Elara could tell that while Aubrey felt guilty for what he'd done to her, he didn't feel he had done anything wrong when it came to poisoning Wyatt. "Aubrey, you don't know, do you? You're not actually a child of the Hawthorne family," Elara said.
"What do you mean?" Aubrey looked at her, utterly confused.
Elara continued, "Before your mother got together with him, she was already pregnant with you. The man who used to work with you at your company and was later kicked out is your real father. Wyatt is just your adoptive father. "But in order for you to have a respectable life in the Hawthorne family, he never told anyone the truth. There was a time when it seemed like your mother might get back together with your biological father..."
She added, "Wyatt feared that if the truth came out, it would damage your reputation, so he kept you in the Hawthorne family. He treated you like his own son, but you poisoned him."
"That's impossible," Aubrey said, shaking his head. "That can't be true."
"Why don't you ask your mother?" Elara replied. "They never told you anything because they wanted you to believe you were truly part of the Hawthorne family. But now, look at the mess it's caused." "That's impossible!" Aubrey thought back to the time after the incident when Wyatt beat him and locked him up, all while trying to protect him. Now, Elara was telling him Wyatt wasn't his biological father. 'If I'm not his real son, how could he have protected me all this time?' Aubrey thought.
Seeing the shock on his face, Elara said, "He raised you all these years, and in the end, you drugged him. He must be devastated."
"You're just lying to me Aubrey looked at Elara. "You're making up stories to make me feel guilty. You want me to regret it and forgive him."
"Elara is telling the truth." Felicity's voice came from the doorway as she entered and added to Aubrey's disbelief.
his wide. "Mom..."
Aubrey looked up, eyes
Felicity turned to Aubrey and said, "You're not Wyatt's biological son. I've wanted to tell you this for a long time, but he always refused. He didn't want it to affect your state of mind.
"When we were preparing for divorce, he asked me to keep you in the Hawthorne family, so that it wouldn't affect your future."
With the Hawthorne family supporting him, Aubrey would have had a bright future. But if he left the family, things were uncertain.
Aubrey's face was filled with shock. He never imagined that Felicity would confirm what Elara said.
Elara looked at Aubrey and said, "Take some time to think about it." After that, Elara walked out the door.
Felicity, seeing Elara, followed her outside. "Elara, wait a moment..."
