Chapter 73
Epilogue
Barbra opened her eyes, and stare at the white room she was in, was she in heaven, slowly, she looked sideways and saw different faces in the room, Lucas was the first, the Kenzo, Aziel and Elina, If she was to be in heaven this faces wouldn’t be there. She can’t be heaven.
“Barbra! You’re wake.” Elina cried holding her hands. As she sat close to her.
“How long have I been here?”
“A month.”
“A month..” She whispered.
“I thought I was dead.”
“Great thing Lucas found you. He brought you here.” She sighed.
“The bastard Hazard, that means it’s all over, the election and everything.”
Elina nods.
“Kenzo won. And Hazard won’t bother us anymore.”
“And Ray?”
“He’s resting.”
Barbra shut her eyes and opened them again, Ray was dead, how come he was dead.
“He was a friend, and was one the one right beside me when I had no one. He saved me, he atone for his sins. And he loved you. He told me to tell you that.”
She felt her eyes got wet.
“That you stood by him, despite how much he pushed you away and used you, not once did you leave him. He was sorry he didn’t get to tell how much he loved you.”
She cried now. Elina pulled her into a hug. As she cried on her shoulders.
“Why didn’t he tell me! Why!”
“It’s okay. You’re better off him.” Lucas remarked earning a nudge on his ribs from Kenzo.
“Better off with you huh?”
“Yeah, I mean.”
“Ain’t you too old for her.”
“What do you mean, I’m just twenty six.”
“You kinda irk me right now.”
It felt like yesterday when it all happened to her. The pains she felt, her tears and everything. How she wished it never did happen, And now she was alive again. It was all over, it has all ended, she could live freely now without being scared of being hurt, killed or molested. Because now, another life has began for them and life more benefiting, a life that’s more enticing. The life that had dreamed of.
Their dream.
Elina pressed her hands together. And she was able to see the ring on her fingers.
“You got engaged?”
“Yes.” She giggles
“Look like I missed a lot.”
“How about school?”
“It doesn’t stop me from schooling.”
“Yeah right.”
She pulled her into a side hug.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
“I thought I lost you. Thank you for coming back to us.”
She hugged her tightly.
Barbra sniffed.
“The face I saw was you, I thought of you at the last moment. How much I’ve wrong you and the hateful things I’ve said. I want you to know that at the moment, you’re not just a friend to me, I want you to accept me as a sister. As your forever best friend.”
Elina smiled.
“Do you even need to ask.”
“I love you best friend.”
“Awwwn, I love you lord Kenzo.” Aziel said.
Kenzo gave him a disgust look and pushed him away from his sight.
“Get out of here!”
They laughed.
The evening was cool and nice, a perfect evening for having a party. It was a small party heard at Kenzo’s mansion. Sara was the servant running around to keep things in order and she work under Elina who held her life in her hands. She did nothing but bickering with the other servants. To Kenzo once they had fulfilled her duty he would kill them. There was no need having her around.
And after he had kill her, he would tell her she was dead.
“Cheers to good life.”
“Cheers.”
“And Cheers to the new lord, our lord Kenzo.”
“Cheers.” They clicked their glasses and sip from the wine.
Sally walked up to Elina and pulled her into a hug. Where she was standing admiring the figurines, Elina smiled. When she saw her coming. Sally was lovely. She was pretty and young, and now she was free from the shackles of Savage. She disengaged after a few minutes.
“You look gorgeous my dear.”
“And you’re really beautiful.”
“Don’t flatter me my dear. Thank you.”
She said. With her hands clasped over hers. She squeezed them. With so much love in her eyes.
“Thank you for being there, for loving Kenzo. For protecting him. For making feel loved. Thank you for everything you did. Thank you for keeping the baby. You don’t know how grateful I was, when I first heard about you. And how you’ve changed Kenzo’s life.”
“I didn’t do much.”
“You did everything. I wasn’t a perfect mother to him. I wasn’t even worth to call him son. You gave him strength. You were be side him. I could tell how much he loves you. How much he adores you.”
She hugs her again.
She melt in her arms, she felt it was her mother she was hugging.
“You’re my daughter now too.” She heard her say. Like she was actually reading her thoughts.
Someone clears his throat in front of them.
Making them pull away from each other.
Kenzo was standing with his hands stretched.
“I’ll like to take her from you.”
They chuckled.
“She’s all yours.”
Elina took Kenzo’s hands, Kenzo hugged his mom and kissed her both cheeks.
“You look lovely tonight.”
She smiled at him.
He began walking away from her. Twirling around she saw someone. Standing behind her.
“Brennon?”
“Hey Sally.”
“Isn’t that Chief?” Elina asked.
Kenzo chuckled.
“Yeah, seems they have a little discussion to make.”
“Surprisingly how he took your back after everything.”
“He had to be on the winning side.” They walked to the balcony. Standing their wrapped her hands around his waist. And kissed her neck. Hugging her from behind.
“I’ve a name for the baby.”
“Isn’t it too early to have a name.”
“I’m just excited. And I want him to have your eyes. Not mine.”
“I want him to look like you”
“Well I don’t want that.”
“What’s the name you choose.”
“Kian.”
“Kian?”
“Yeah.”
“Kian Brennon.”
Elina turned to face him. She tiptoed and kissed him on his lips. He smiled pulling his hands around her waist. And pulled her off her feet.
“I love you Elina Brooke.”
