Contract With The Alpha King

Contract 30

Elijah's kiss deepened as his hand slid over her curves, sending a shiver down her spine. His touch was firm yet gentle. Her breath quickened as the heat between them intensified. Her hands gripped his shirt tighter, pulling him closer, the tension between them building with each passing second. But just as things began to spiral out of control, a sound from the adjacent room startled her. Fiona stiffened, her senses snapping back into focus. She quickly pulled her lips away, her chest heaving as she tried to regain her breath. "Stop," she whispered.

Elijah paused immediately, his hands still resting on her hips, but he didn't let her go. His forehead pressed gently against hers, their breaths mingling in the small space between them. "I missed you," he murmured, his voice low, filled with both longing and frustration. His gray eyes locked with hers. Fiona could feel the weight of everything they couldn't say out loud. She swallowed, her heart still racing. "Elijah..." she began, but he cut her off, his gaze drifting around the bare room.

"I hate how your room doesn't have a window," he muttered, a hint of annoyance in his tone. He then clicked his tongue. "It must be intentional, so I can't sneak in."

Fiona blinked, momentarily caught off guard by his comment. She let out a small laugh and playfully slapped his arm. "Oh, is that it? They planned this just to keep you out?" she teased, a giggle escaping her despite the tension lingering in the air.

Elijah smirked, his grip on her tightening slightly as he pulled her closer again. "Maybe," he said, his voice soft but teasing. "But that's not going to stop me."

Despite the intensity of the moment, Fiona felt a sense of ease settle between them.

Then Fiona sighed, stepping back and quickly adjusting her clothes, smoothing down her shirt and running a hand through her hair. She glanced at the door nervously, the weight of what just happened starting to settle in. "You should go," she said quietly, her voice steady but with a hint of urgency. "I don't want rumors about me swirling around this place." In fact, she shouldn't have asked him to come inside her room.

Elijah's smirk widened as he leaned casually against the wall, arms crossed. "Too late for that," he said, a teasing glint in his

eyes.

Fiona narrowed her eyes, confused. "What do you mean?" she asked, folding her arms across her chest.

Elijah sighed, his playful expression turning a bit more serious. "My mother already spread the rumors. That's why I'm here."

Fiona blinked in surprise. "What? Why would she-" She stopped, clearly confused. "Why are you here then? How is this supposed to help?" Wouldn't this worsen the rumors? She hadn't even been here for 24 hours, and rumors were already circulating to ruin her name. Fiona didn't know what else to expect in this place.

Elijah straightened up, his eyes meeting hers. "I'm going to let everyone think we're together," he explained, his tone matter-of-fact. "It's the best way to keep you safe. If they think you're with me, they won't harm you. It's better to confirm the rumors than attract more attention."

Fiona felt her face heat up, the realization of what Elijah was suggesting making her blush, "Wait... you mean Kariana and Cillian-" she started, but Elijah didn't give her time to finish.

He stepped forward, closing the distance between them, and before she could protest, his lips were on hers again. The kiss was firm, filled with purpose. Almost immediately, she felt herself melting into it for a moment before pulling away. "You're irresistible," Elijah murmured, his voice low and teasing, his breath warm against her skin. This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Fiona's heart raced. She looked up at him, still flustered. "Elijah." she started, trying to gather her thoughts.

He gently cupped her face, his thumb brushing her cheek. "Remember our agreement," he said softly, reminding her of the

promise they had made to each other. "You can expect my presence here every day."

Her cheeks flushed again, the weight of his words sinking in. She couldn't argue with him.

"Okay," Fiona nodded slightly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Elijah smiled, stepping back, but not without one last lingering look before heading for the door. "See you tomorrow," he said with a wink, leaving her standing there, still trying to catch her breath.

Fiona took a deep breath and fixed her clothes, smoothing out the wrinkles and trying to calm her racing heart. She couldn't let anyone see how flustered she was. After a few moments, she composed herself and stepped out of the room. Kariana was waiting for her just outside, her sharp eyes taking in Fiona's appearance. "What did the Prince want?" she asked, her tone casual but with a hint of curiosity.

Fiona forced a small smile. "He was just checking up on me," she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

Kariana pursed her lips, her gaze narrowing slightly. "Didn't I warn you earlier?" she asked, her voice dropping as she leaned in. "Do you remember what happened to the last woman who got involved with the Prince?"

Fiona nodded, saying nothing. There wasn't much she could say

Kariana sighed, her expression serious. "The last woman suffered a fate worse than death," she said quietly. "You need to be really, really careful when it comes to him."

Fiona sighed. Obviously, she would never forget what Kariana had told her hours ago. The story about the woman who had caught the Prince's eye was well known, whispered among the servants and lower ranks. She wasn't royalty, just a servant like many others, but she had been beautiful and bold. Rumor had it that the Prince had taken an interest in her, and for a while, she seemed to bask in his attention. But then, one day, she vanished.

There were no goodbyes, no explanations. She simply disappeared without a trace. No body was ever found, and no clues were left behind. It was as if she had never existed. People speculated, but no one dared speak too loudly. Some said the Prince had grown tired of her; others claimed she had gotten too close and had to be removed. But whatever the reason, the outcome was always the same.

She became just another cautionary tale, a warning to anyone foolish enough to think they could get close to the Prince without consequence. She had actually forgotten to ask Elijah about this matter! But who could blame her? The man had kissed her the moment he arrived. Fiona's cheeks burned as she sighed inwardly.
