Crushed Affections (Dominic and Bella)

In order to prevent them from getting into an argument, Dominic had kept the question to himself for a very long time. But he couldn't hold it in anymore. He ended up asking the question, which led to a disaster.

Bella was like a rose with thorns. Despite being shaken and overcome with emotion, she still had her guard up and stopped people from getting too close to her.

Dominic opened his mouth to speak but ultimately decided against it. He thought it was better to stay silent than to risk escalating the situation.

Staying quiet could lead to two outcomes. Bella could end up calming down on her own. If that were the case, they'd be able to have a proper discussion. However, she could also get even angrier.

He knew what kind of woman she was. She wasn't the type to drag something out. She behaved the same way in a relationship and also during fights.

Dominic let out a huge sigh before taking the keys and entering the room.

The lights were off, and the room was dark. Bella was curled up in a ball on the bed. Upon seeing her, he walked over and found her small hand in the dark.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said any of that," he apologized.

Bella stiffened. Did the baby mean that much to him? She couldn't believe he was apologizing because of this.

She wavered but still refused to pay him any attention. Since she couldn't break free from his grip, she allowed him to continue holding her hand.

Suddenly, he added, "Even if the baby isn't mine, I'll still choose to be responsible for it."

Bella was so furious she tried to kick him.

"Okay, that's enough now. Being angry isn't good for the baby. I'm the one at fault no matter what. You should get some rest," he said as he caught her ankle.
