Forbidden Love: My Daddy's Best Friend

It has been just over a week now since we rescued Daisy. We’ve had the funerals for the guards, Daisy came with us to them all to show her respect and to show she was grateful for their sacrifice to try and save her. We all held her as she cried for Troy, they had become close. Maybe even friends although he wouldn’t admit that because he would fear D would kill him.

We took care of the guard’s family, ensuring they wouldn’t struggle. Then we organised our guards, ensuring everyone would be safe. It feels strange that things are almost back to normal. NôvelDrama.Org content rights.

I’m sitting in the office with D and Cal, Daisy is cooking after I made up the excuse that we had business things to sort out. She agreed to cook while we discuss it. Fact is I just needed us to have a bit of time without her listening.

“Come on, speak.” Cal looks at me like he’s waiting for bad news. In reality that’s all we ever seem to get so I can’t blame him for thinking it.

“I was just thinking, now things are settled and calmed down we need to do something for Daisy. To show her how we feel.”

“I already have plans for that one.” D grins at me.

“Not sex, D. I didn’t mean fucking her. Last night while you two were out we were talking, and she’s worried. She has seen the Wolversons and knows it possible, but she is worried that this won’t work. She had questions about how any one of us could be happy with her marrying only one of us. Kids, everything, she is worried.”

“So we talk to her, she has nothing to be worried about,” Cal explains and I laugh.

“Let me finish. She isn’t worried about those things, even I know that. She has only said to D she loves him, and I think that’s more because the bastard tells her every day, constantly. I think now things have settled and she realises she loves all three of us, her mind is telling her to be ready for us to run.”

“But we’re not going to.”

I roll my eyes at Cal. “No, we’re not. Think about it though Cal, her own parents claimed they loved her and then sold her, not caring about her getting abused. Her aunt loved her, who left her, sure she was murdered but she still left her. Then her uncle, he said he loved her for years, then he used her and let her be abused.”

I sigh and they look at me. “Think back to dad Dying, think back to mum been murdered how we all felt like anyone who came into our lives and said they loved us would leave. Hell Cal, you know what I mean from before, you told Daisy. I just wanted to do something nice to show her how we feel, so we actually tell her.” I don’t like that look she has, the one where she is holding back and waiting.

“She’s waiting for us to walk, or die. I noticed this week she is holding back, she hasn’t truly been herself, she hasn’t let us in fully. She’s protecting herself.” I can’t blame her, sometimes I think it would be easier to have no one, every time something goes wrong and Cal or D get hurt I panic, I think what if they die?

“Okay, let’s talk about it, plan what ever it is. Any ideas?” Cal looks at me and I nod.

“Yeah, we each spend one day and night with her. Like a real date, the 4th day we all spend it together. We make sure then that she is aware we’re not leaving.”

“Or just do it together?” D shrugs.

“No, because then she will have her shield up. If it’s one to one it’s more personal, she rarely actually comes to one of us, and I think that’s because she feels safer with us all there, like she can hide easier.” I don’t want her hiding, so for twenty–four hours she will be with just one of us at a time, and I am hoping it will help peel back all the layers she has built to hide herself from us.

“Okay, so we plan a day each by ourselves. Right now, let’s discuss the day we’re all together, then we can plan the other separately.

Sitting we talk about the way forward, and we have a plan for when we’re together, now though, I need to think of a plan for when it is just us two. I want her to realise how much she means to me, not just us all.

Walking through she is just putting breakfast on the table, sitting we eat and she leans over to whisper in my ear.

“I need your help tonight, a surprise for D meet me in the playroom at like eight?”

“Okay, as long as I cane out of the room before his surprise.” She nods. laughing at me.

“I’m getting dressed.” She walks off and I look at D.

“D, plan your things quickly, today’s your day, she has a plan to kidnap you tonight.” Sure, she isn’t actually going to kidnap him, but I guess today should be D’s day.

“Already got it figured out. I’m a pro, so if you have issues just ask.” He jumps up from the table. “I’m going to go get her dressed.”

We laugh at his words. “She isn’t a doll, D.”

“She’s my doll.” He turns and walks away.

“Maybe this wasn’t a good idea, fuck knows how crazy he will make today for her.” Cal looks at me worriedly

“They will be fine, plan your down day, stop worrying about D and what he has planned.” Anything D does will likely be crazy, filled with

adrenaline and have her dangling from the rope of life. She will love it all though and no doubt wake up tomorrow wanting it all again.
