His Cure

Is that jealousy?

“According to her words, this man.. sure looks like what she has described her boyfriend as back then.”Bella uttered slowly.

All the hope in Amelia’s eyes died down.

She offered Bella a smile before withdrawing her stretched hand.

“I see.”she muttered.

So, their dating was indeed true.

Then, she is afraid the chances of her getting their father’s properties is low then.

“How come you have his picture though?”Bella’s question brought her back into reality.

She widened her eyes and rubbed her nape, chuckling anxiously.

“Oh, he is one of our colleagues and.. he.. I always find him flirting with her so.. I.. well, I did had a hunch that they were in relationship but.. I.. now, I know. No wonder he likes teasing her a lot.”she utters gibberish.

Annabella nodded slowly.

“It was nice to have you around.. come to think of it, I haven’t ask you what your name is yet.”

“Oh, yeah!”Amelia chimed.

“I.. I am… Juliet.. Juliet.”she lied.

She checked the wall clock and pretended to be shocked as she gasps.

“I.. I am late.. I gotta go now, ma’am. I’m sorry.. I wish I could stay here more but I just remember I have an appointment.. so I have to hurry down there. Do have a good day, ma’am!”she stood up.

“Oh, okay. No worries. Good luck with your appointment.”Bella smiled.

Amelia nodded before hightailing out of the room.

She scoffs once she was out and frowned.

What the hell?

She can’t belief her efforts just went down the drain just like that.Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

She left the hospital with a frown.

..

Gregory entered his office and Harry came right behind him.

“Gre..”Harry wanted to call.

“Harry, please. If you’ve got nothing reasonable or important to say, just take your leave.”Gregory cut him off while going to sit down on his chair.

Harry sighed and instead of getting angry because of what he said, he was rather calm.

This was not the first time Gregory would be uttering such statement and, he always does that whenever he is angry and fighting hard to control that anger.

Then he becomes irritable next.

But, every time he said that, he always stays, instead of leaving.

He is the only person he could open up to, pour his mind to then he would console him.

If he leaves, who would then be by his side?.

“We’ve successfully blocked some pos..”

Gregory’s angry stare shot up at Harry.

“I don’t care.”he rasped.

“I don’t know but all of these doesn’t matters to me. Leave them to post on as they want. What I hate is her gut to go out with another man and even get their pictures taken! What the hell?!!”

Harry chortled.

Is this jealousy?

“What?. Do I appear laughable to you?”he frowned deeply.

“They might not be what you think they are. Maybe.. friends?”Harry chimes.

“I don’t give a fvck about that! I don’t wanna know if they are friends or lovers! What concerns me is me!”

“You sure you’re not just simply envious?”Harry flattened his lips and stared away from him slowly.

Gregory scoffed.

“The hell is that?. Why would I be jealous?.”

Harry shrugs and chuckled again.

“It’s.. I haven’t seen that look on your face before, Gregory.”

Gregory furrowed his brows while breathing unsteadily.

“Make use of the door, Harry.”

“You’re not angry, Greg. That’s not the look on your face right now. You’re just.. being possessive and..”

“And what?”Gregory snapped.

Harry inhaled a breath sharply and scurried to the door.

He set it ajar before saying to him,”Maybe you like her.”then rushed out.

Gregory scoffed and balled his fists.

Well, Harry knew better to have escaped on time.

He grinded his teeth together.

He was beyond angry. He tried to figure out what he was angry with within himself but couldn’t find any.

He just knew his anger seems to be coming from a burning and limitless source.

He grabs the telephone receiver before him and punched some numbers on its board before pressing it to his ear.

“Huh?”Harry scoffed.

Is he calling him to give him a reply or lash out at him?

“Find the man in the picture. I’d like to know who he is.”

Beatrice stayed in her room, not wanting to go out.

It was as if she would meets the attacking flashlights of the reporters should she step out.

She is starving, but she would rather starve to death than go down for breakfast.

She curled up on the bed; sitting with her back against the wall, her face buried in her thighs and her legs clutched tightly to her tummy with her arms around them.

She wasn’t crying, nor was she thinking about the current turbulent.

All she has on her mind was a plate of potato fries and chicken sauce.

She swallowed hard. She has been in fantasies about that for awhile now.

Her stomach churns and she rubbed it slowly.

“Let’s have some hours fasting today, darling.”

..

Amelia got back home and went to the kitchen directly.

She seethes in anger as she recalled the scene back at the hospital.

Geez!

She cannot believe all efforts she puts in just wasted like that.

She took a yoghurt from the fridge and emptied it.

She squeezed the box till it wrinkles up and throws it down on the floor angrily.

“Gregory.”she breathed out and scoff.

“It seems I can only get our father’s properties only when you die.”she gnashed her teeth together.

She ambled out of the kitchen, taking the stairs up to her room.

She got inside and moved to place her bag at the rack where are bags were being kept.

She went to stand before the mirror and stared at herself in disdain.

‘You’re a female. Let your brother have the ball, Lia.’their mother’s voice rang in her ears.

‘But, mom, I like playing football too.’young Amelia replied in a sad pout.

‘Oh.. what can you do?’their mother chuckled before snatching the ball from her and giving it to Gregory.

.

‘Why can’t you be like your brother?! You are dumb! You would always be! Curse me for having too much high expectations for a girl. Take your trashy results away from my sight.’Her father shouts and threw her result cards on her face.

The rhythm of the young her sobs vibrates in Amelia’s ears.

She has always been seen as a worthless child in their eyes.

They had always cared for Gregory more even when she is the first born.

She grinned surly and crawled her hands up to her face.

“Mother, I will soon send your favorite son to meet you up there.”
