His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 349

"Please, just go. If you don't leave now, I'm calling the police."

It was pretty embarrassing to be sent away like this, but the man decided not to argue. "Alright, I'm going. Don't forget to eat something later."

"Just go, please."

She stood by the door for a while, waiting until his footsteps had faded away before she finally relaxed. Her stomach grumbled, reminding her that she was indeed hungry. Eliza picked up her phone, thinking about ordering some takeout.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang, making her heart skip a beat. Could it be Casper coming back?

"I won't open the door for you, just leave, do you hear me?"

"Ms. Valerie, I'm a server from the hotel's kitchen, here to deliver your meal. Please open the door."

A staff member from the hotel's kitchen? Was she hearing things?

"I didn't order any food. You must have the wrong person."

"It was a Mr. Casper who ordered the meal for you. Please open the door."

Casper ordered the meal? Wow, how thoughtful of him.

The door opened. The hotel kitchen staff pushed the cart in, laying out dish after dish in front of Eliza.

"Mr. Casper instructed us to prepare something else if you don't like it."

The meal was lavish, and Eliza politely smiled. "No, it's fine, thank you so much."

She wasn't that picky. Being able to fill her stomach was all that mattered. But she wouldn't be grateful for his thoughtfulness. The hotel's food was indeed much tastier than anything from outside. After eating, she went to sleep.

Early in the morning, before she was fully awake, the doorbell rang again. "Who is it?"

"Ms. Valerie, I'm here to deliver your breakfast."

"I didn't order breakfast." She just wanted to sleep in, turning over and pulling the blanket over her head. "You've got the wrong room."

"It was Mr. Casper who ordered it for you. Could you please open the door?" The server outside replied politely.

Casper again?

Eliza threw off the blanket, irritatedly running her hands through her hair. Wrapping herself in a robe, she went to open the door.

"How many meals did he order, exactly?"

"Mr. Casper said, until you check out." The server pushed the cart into the room.

The breakfast was lavish, but she had no appetite at all. "Just leave it there."

"Alright, Ms. Valerie, and there's this." The server took out a beautifully wrapped bouquet of red roses from under the cart. "This is also from Mr. Casper He asked us to order these flowers for you. Please accept them."

Casper ordered flowers for her?

Eliza felt a complex emotion stirring within her. She had been with Casper for so many years. She had dreamt of receiving even a single bouquet from him, even if it were just baby's breath. Waiting and waiting until their relationship had completely fractured, she had never seen a single petal.

The bouquet was for Valerie, the one who Casper had forgotten, not for Eliza.

"I won't take the flowers, please throw them away," she said coldly.Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

The server, unable to go against a guest's wishes, nodded. "Alright, Ms. Valerie, I'll take care of it."

Breakfast lost its appeal to Eliza. She prepared to pack up and return to Oak Falls.

"Ding-dong."

The doorbell rang once more. Upon opening the door, she found David.

"David?"

"Have you had breakfast?" He was holding Eliza's favorite, soy milk and dumplings. "I guessed you hadn't eaten."

His face wore a gentle smile.

Entering the room with his offerings, he saw the untouched lavish breakfast and was slightly taken aback. "You... ordered room service?" "That... I don't like it." She took the breakfast from David's hands, placing it on the table. "David, have you eaten?"

"Not yet, thought I'd come and have breakfast with you."

Eliza smiled and nodded. "Sure, let's eat together."

Casper's breakfast was

unceremoniously packed away, ending up in the trash. The breakfast they shared was what David had brought. The two of them enjoyed their meal together, chatting and laughing, in high spirits.
