Chapter 32 The First Shoot
"Well, is everyone ready? Today is our first shoot. I hope everyone performs well so we don't have to
redo any scenes." The director wanted to hit the ground running with the first shoot.
"Don't worry about it, director. I am very experienced in acting. You should worry about the others
instead." Stephanie covered her mouth and giggled. She purposely glanced at Margaret while she said
that.
"Okay, let's get ready!" The director shouted into a loudspeaker.
All the crew members were all in a standby mode at their respective places.
The shooting began. Stephanie walked out of the jewelry store and got into her car. The driver started
the car. Everything went smoothly.
Stephanie sat in the car and thought about how she would overshadow Margaret later. As she thought
of Margaret's embarrassed look, she felt a sense of joy and could not help but smile as she imagined
this.
As a result, the director stopped filming.
"Stephanie, you are acting as Queenie, a pure and innocent girl. Why do you look like you're scheming
something like an old witch?" The director told her off unhappily.
Stephanie's smile froze.
Like an old witch? Stephanie felt the director was attacking her on purpose.
"I'm sorry, director. I will do better this time!" Stephanie apologized through gritted teeth.
The director sighed. He thought he could have a good start, but things just didn't go according to plan
sometimes.
They filmed the scene again. This time, everything went smoothly up until the moment Queenie met
Tiana.
Margaret, who was acting as Tiana, fell and landed butt-first on the ground. Queenie got out of the car
and said in a very sympathetic tone, "Poor child, here, take this."
Looking at the beautiful pearl in Queenie's hand, Tiana's eyes lit up in envy. "For me?" She asked.
Margaret expressed Tiana's emotions excellently. Tiana, at this point, wasn't the beautiful singer just
yet. She was still a beggar.
When Stephanie looked into Margaret's eyes, she was taken aback by how into her character Margaret
was. Stephanie was so astonished that she even forgot her lines.
"Cut!" The director yelled again in dissatisfaction. "Stephanie, what is it this time?"
"I'm sorry, director. I forgot my lines again." Stephanie answered unhappily.
She felt intimidated by Margaret's acting when she looked into her eyes a while ago.
It seemed that Margaret's acting skills were overshadowing her, but how could this be possible? Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
Margaret was just a newbie, so how could it be possible for her to have better acting skills?
"Let's continue!" The director shouted.
Stephanie forgot her lines once again.
"Stephanie, what are you doing? You just need to say 'yes'. Is that very hard?" The director scolded
impatiently.
Everyone fixed their eyes on Stephanie, judging and criticizing her internally. She was in a few dramas
before this, but now she couldn't even remember a simple line.
They heard that Stephanie got all her roles using the Simons family's influence. If they weren't
convinced before this, they definitely were now.
"One more time, and this is your last chance!" The director shouted. Stephanie's heart was racing.
This time, Stephanie finally said all her lines. However, she was sweating profusely.
The director watched the scene replay and said, "Margaret, you did good. You have a true talent in
acting."
He originally thought that the newcomer would perform worse, but unexpectedly, Stephanie was the
problem.
Stephanie's face went pale almost instantly.
Queenie had to dance in the next scene. However, even after the dance instructor had taught
Stephanie the dance moves several times before filming the scene, she still failed to meet the
instructor's standards.
"We can't do this, director. Stephanie has the agility of a block of wood. She just can't do it..." The
dance teacher lowered his voice as he spoke, but Stephanie still overheard them.
