Magnus rejected her offer without hesitation.

Before she could continue her impassioned speech, Magnus interrupted her, his tone calm yet firm. “It’s your figure. The cultists of the Five Poison Sect are all men. Your body stands out too much–your curves are too noticeable. Anyone would immediately know you’re not a man!”

Hearing this reasoning, Solana Couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

Everyone around watched her expression shift, noticing how this fiery–tempered woman now laughed with unrestrained delight. Her happiness in that moment was radiant and infectious.

“Well, it seems that for such a challenging task, I’ll have to step up instead!”

Quintus pounded his chest confidently, volunteering himself as the best candidate.

The two women quickly caught up with the remnants of Azure Grand Protector’s unit, blending into their ranks as they retreated toward the fortress gates.

The cultists wore wide–brimmed hats, and the women smeared mud on their faces to obscure their features. Under the dim lighting, their genders became almost indistinguishable.

“Open the gate! Hurry!”

Anna and Solana were both shocked. The mechanical door in front of them was incredibly sturdy. Even cannons would struggle to break it open. If the mechanism wasn’t used, it seemed impossible to open at

all.

However, they had both fought their way out of the infernal land of Dark Night Islands, a place full of demons. They had braved dragon’s lairs and tiger’s dens, so they weren’t about to turn back now. Since n one had noticed them, they blended in seamlessly and infiltrated the area.

Once inside, they waited for an opportunity to sneak away and carefully ventured deeper.

At first, there was little to be alarmed by. The surroundings were merely guarded by some cultists, However, as they continued on, they quickly stumbled upon a scene of darkness and cruelty.

“Quick! Move the stones over here and reinforce the defenses! A group of Five Poison Sect cultists harshly lashed their whips at a number of ordinary laborers.

The workers, their clothes torn and stained with blood, were pitiful. Among them were an old man and a young boy, both of whom seemed on the verge of collapse.
