Chapter 1 Impotent Yet Indulgent
The day following their wedding, Alicia Casey and Edmond Agos each set off to indulge in their separate merriments.
Edmond, the notoriously extravagant and free-spirited scion of a wealthy family, was often caught by paparazzi in compromising positions with women on both arms.
Everyone in Arnoford City felt sorry for the woman who married such a man.
But only those who knew the truth understood that Alicia Casey, Edmond's secret wife, was even wilder.
"Don't think, Alicia, that just because you have such an innocent yet seductive face, you can do whatever you please! Let me tell you, if you don't settle down a bit, you risk losing your newly- wedded, wealthy husband to someone else!"
After hearing her best friend Grace Florrick's warning, Alicia smiled sweetly and returned to the dance floor.
Her red strapless dress swayed under the lights, intoxicating everyone.
A man approached with the intention of flirting with her.
She didn't care and continued to enjoy herself until the man noticed the hickey on her neck and leaned in to whisper, "Why don't we go upstairs and get a room?"
Alicia smiled playfully and said, "I'm Edmond's wife."
The man's face paled, and he excused himself immediately.
Everyone in their social circle knew that Edmond was a party animal with a high risk of disease. Upon hearing Alicia confess her identity, many people were scared off.
No one wanted to risk their life for a night of fun.
Alicia returned to her seat and ordered a cup of coffee, feeling someone's gaze on her.
She looked up to find Edmond standing nearby, with an attractive woman hanging onto him.
The woman wore a red sundress that exuded charm with her alluring appearance. She clung to Edmond's body.
He was dressed in a black shirt, unbuttoned at the top, revealing his sculpted chest. His peach blossom eyes were nonchalant but inviting.
It reminded Alicia of the intense passion in his half-closed eyes last night, the sweat that rolled down his throat and dripped onto her stomach, stirring her desire.
"Mr. Agos, who are you looking at? Do you know that woman?"
"No."
"You're lying. You couldn't take your eyes off her. Is she more attractive than me?"
Edmond looked away from Alicia, turning his head towards the jealous woman nestled in his arms, lifting her chin gently with the tip of his finger.
His Adam's apple bobbed slightly, his voice bearing a hint of seduction. "A woman is at her most beautiful when she's naked."
The woman blushed and playfully hit him in the chest.
Alicia watched, with a contemptuous smile on her lips.
Grace nudged her arm.
"Edmond is really outrageous! He's flirting with women the day after his wedding. Aren't you going to confront him, Alicia?"
"Why should I waste my energy when I can snag a cute boy and get even?"
Grace clucked her tongue. "He used to go for flat-chested women. Now that he's married, his taste has changed... Could it be..."
She let her words trail off, her eyes drifting down to Alicia's cleavage, her implications clear.
"Got a taste of the good life on his wedding night and now he can't get enough?"
Alicia laughed, "He didn't get a taste."
"Oh, come on. I saw the hickey on your neck! Tell me, Edmond's bed skills must be impressive, right?"
"No good."
"What?! With all the women he's had, hasn't he mastered the art by now?"
"No, he's impotent yet indulgent."
After finishing her cocktail, Alicia returned to the dance floor.
Grace didn't follow her. In her drunken state, she was somehow pushed to the pole on the stage. NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.
The DJ on stage asked with a smile, "How about a pole dance, pretty lady? Anyone wants to see it?!"
"Yes--"
The crowd was in uproar.
Alicia wanted to decline but she caught a glimpse of someone watching her from a VIP room.
Their eyes met for a second. Edmond pulled two women into his arms, his eyes full of amusement.
She responded with a smirk, with defiance and challenge in her eyes.
She then turned to the DJ and said, "Music."
The moment the music started, she began her dance around the pole.
Her fiery red dress made her stunningly beautiful. Under the spotlight, she performed a complex routine, twirling down the pole with her legs wrapped around it. She moved with effortless grace.
Everyone's eyes were drawn to her.
Even Edmond's friends couldn't look away.
"Edmond, your wife is really something. With her dance talent, she could be the top performer in any bar."
The group laughed heartily.
They were mocking Edmond, whose dignified wife had stooped to performing like a showgirl.
But he didn't mind their words.
"Edmond, you dare to bring such a wild woman home? Aren't you afraid she'll cheat on you?"
Edmond's lips curved up slightly. His face, which had shown a trace of severity earlier, now bore a lazy, nonchalant expression.
"The wilder, the better."
