Surprise
CHAPTER 39: Surprise
– LIA –
KELLEON was all smiles when he told me that we’re going to cinema. I asked him what movie we are going to watch, yet he told me that I will know about it later.
I didn’t even have the time to pick a good outfit because he was in a hurry. He even told me that the movie will start in just thirty minutes, which pressured me.
Even when we were already inside his car and driving to the cinema, Kelleon was still smiling like an idiot. I asked him several times on what’s the occasion and why he is so happy, but he just told me to wait and watch.
“Cariño,” I called him when I noticed that he was walking so fast that I can’t keep up his pace. He was holding my hand and I felt like I was being dragged. “Slow down.”
He stopped walking before turning his head on me. Kelleon suddenly pulled me closer to him, placed his arm under my butt, before carrying me in bridal style.
“Aah!” I squealed when I was put up in the air. I grabbed his neck to find support because I felt like I was going to fall.
“Kelleon!” I exclaimed. “Put me down!”
He continued walking as if he can’t hear anything. I covered my face because of embarrassment. People in the mall are watching us and some are even taking pictures.
If they’re one of those we paid to spread the information about our relationship, then I won’t feel shy. But these are unfamiliar people! I don’t know them and they can see Kelleon carrying me!
I didn’t even realized that Kelleon already put me down. My hands are still on my face and I can feel my skin being so red because of blushing.
Kelleon touched my hands and removed it from covering my face. I closed my eyes, as if it could prevent him from staring at my face.
“Oh, mi amor is blushing,” he teasingly said before pinching my cheeks. I pouted when I saw him laughing at me.
He kissed my lips before travelling to my cheeks and my nose. He playfully rubbed the tip of our noses before guiding me inside the cinema.
“Wait? Aren’t we gonna show our tickets? Or buy food and drinks?” I asked when I noticed that we already passed the inspection area without doing anything.
He sniffed my neck before answering. “There’s no need to do that, mi amor. Besides, the food and drinks are all inside the cinema,” he answered.
I was about to respond when I saw the large movie screen on my right side. It was playing advertisements of other movies and some trailers.
When my eyes lifted to the movie seats, I noticed that there are no other people inside aside from the two of us. My eyebrows furrowed as I look at Kelleon, who is busy sniffing my hair.
“Cariño,” I called him. “Where are the other moviegoers? I thought the movie will start in any minute?”
He smiled at me. “There are only the two of us here, mi amor. We own this place right now.”
My eyes widened. “What do you mean?”
Kelleon caressed my face. “I rented this whole place for you, mi amor. I want you to enjoy this movie.”
As if on a cue, the opening trailer of the movie played on the screen. My eyes widened more when I realized what movie we are going to watch.
“Detective Files,” Kelleon whispered in my ear. “You’ve been waiting for the movie release of its part two, right?”
My mouth suddenly opened because of shock. I just stared at him with awe.
“You did this… for me?” I asked, trying to confirm if I heard it right.
He nodded. “Everything I do is all for you, mi amor.” he said lovingly. “Now, why don’t we take a seat and enjoy your favorite movie?”Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
I smiled and nodded at him. I happily jumped up and down while walking towards the seat that Kelleon chose for the two of us. It’s the middle most seat in the cinema. Just from staring from a far and you can see that the seat is so special.
The seat has foods and drinks on each side. There are also some comforters on the seats in front of it. At the back is where the backdrop for Detective Files is standing.
We sat down and kept quiet as the movie started playing. I was so focused on watching the movie that I can’t even eat my popcorns or take a sip on my softdrinks.
“The third child!” I exclaimed when I finally found out who the killer is. “It’s the third child!”
Kelleon turned his head to me while I was too busy watching. “How can you say that? The third child has strong alibis,” he challenged.
Without cutting my stares at the movie screen, I answered him. “The killer injected a sedative to the victim. Of all the persons of interest, the third child is the one who has the access to that kind of drug because of his job,” I explained.
“Also, if you will take a closer look at the cut in the victim’s wrist, it was clean. It doesn’t look like the victim did it to himself. The killer must have knowledge on how to cut the arteries with precision.”
He caressed my hair and didn’t say anything. I saw from my peripheral vision that he turned his head to the screen and watched with me.
The movie finally come to an end.
“Yes!” I exclaimed. “I told you it was him!” I told Kelleon while being proud of myself for solving the crime.
“You discovered it faster than the protagonist, mi amor,” he said with a smile.
“Of course! I’m the best!” I smiled widely before munching my popcorn that I haven’t finished yet.
I was busy eating and reading the credits part when the lights suddenly opened. I heard footsteps from different people.
When I turned my body to look at Kelleon, I saw him kneeling on the floor. A black box is on his hand. Inside of it is a silver ring with a huge pink stone in the middle.
Calm music suddenly played on the background. When I looked around, I saw a lot of people gathering around us. Some have flowers in their hand. Some have their phones playing. Some have bouquets of money. Some have baskets of stationery supplies. There is also a band playing on the space near the movie screen.
Of all the unfamiliar people inside, my eyes were glued to the ones standing behind Kelleon. Each of them holding a placard.
“You will… marry me,” I said as I read the sentence in the placards. I chuckled before looking at Kelleon.
“That doesn’t sound like a question, though,” I told him between my small laughs.
He grinned at me. “It’s not a question, mi amor. It’s an order. An order from this billionaire marquess of Spain.”
I blushed while trying to hold back my tears because of happiness.
“Yes. Yes, cariño. I will gladly marry this billionaire marquess in front of me.”
Kelleon slid the ring in my finger before standing up and giving me a kiss. The people around us clapped loudly as the music lingered in our ears.
Suddenly, the whole place became quiet and the only sound I can hear is our heartbeats. We lovingly kissed each other in front of these people, not minding if we looked cringed for them.
It’s like we have our own world when our lips touched each other. Everything revolved around him. Nothing matters, as long as I’m with him.
When our lips separated, Kelleon made our foreheads touched. We both smiled with contentment.
“This is a very special day for us, cariño,” I said under my breathe. “I can’t believe that you’ll propose to me today. You surprised me.”
He chuckled before rubbing my nose against him.
“This is really a special day, mi amor. It’s just not the day you said yes to me. This is also the day that I met you,” he said. I want to ask him more about that but he spoke more.
“I promise to give you the life you deserve, mi amor. I will provide everything for you. I will love you and our future children. I will be the best husband and father for you and our family,” he said before kissing my lips shortly.
I cupped his faced and stared at his eyes that’s full of affection. “You and your love is already more than enough for me, cariño,” I said. “I promise to love you with my everything, take care of you, and make you happy everyday.”
He smiled playfully at me. “I have an idea on how we can make each other happy today, mi amor,” he said
I tilted my head to the right. “Hmm? What tricks are in you mind right now, huh? Cariño?”
He touched my back and pulled me closer to him. He kissed my lips before biting the lower part of it.
“The trick is called playing in my bedroom ’till sunrise, mi amor.”
