Mr. Right, Spoil Me

Chapter 183 Sorry, Sarah Knows It

Chapter 183 Sorry, Sarah Knows It

“For proposals?”

Andrew Bask raised his eyebrows, looking at the woman in front of him, who had been kept waiting for

a dozen minutes.

Bianca Brown was holding a file. She looked a little short, hair barely above her shoulders, in a black-

and-white outfit that didn't fit her style - typically a compliant person.

“Uh, yes, Mr. Bask. May I take some of your time for the proposal? I don't quite understand it, and I

wonder if you could answer my questions.”

Andrew had just finished his meal, so satiated that he almost indulged in the languor.

Lazily he looked up at her, stretched his legs, and slouched in his swivel chair. His eyes told a hint of

laziness, and of course, impatience.

“What questions?”

The tone was not that kind, revealing his seeming irritation.

As Bianca approached him cautiously, her heart was beating so fast. She quietly looked at him for a

few moments, pursing her lips, squeezing out a few words.

“Last time, the land in the southwest was said to be developed for real estate. But next to it is a

cemetery. I have been thinking that if we could relocate the cemetery and replace the land with a

school by negotiating with the local land bureau. Would it be possible?”

Andrew licked his lips, rubbed his sharp chin with fingertips as he lifted it. Quite harsh, he said, “Do you

know the first-come, first-serve basis?”

Bianca was clearly stunned. What did it mean?

Andrew threw off the file she handed over to him, and said, “Everything is ready for the cemetery

project now, expect for a mere launching ceremony. Do you think they would give up tens or even

hundreds of millions of dollars just to fulfill your brilliant idea?”

By such cold tone and pungent words pointing out her naivety, Bianca was very scared.

Realizing her probable mistake, Bianca hurriedly explained, “Sorry, Mr. Bask. But I don’t mean it. I just

feel it quite a loss if the land is used for a cemetery like that, instead of for commercial housing.”

Obviously, Andrew would like to end the conversation. Rubbing his brows, he said, “Get out. The

proposal won't be passed. Make another one.”

Hearing this, what else could Bianca say?

She almost lose her confidence and felt a sense of loss.

She had thought that she could get closer to him this way, but he rejected her so cruelly.

Seeing she would not be able to justify herself if she kept staying, Bianca regretted that she hadn't

found out what Emily had done here.

After a short time of consideration, she thought Sarah Cox could be the key.

“By the way, Mr. Bask, how’s your wife doing?”

As expected, the mention of Sarah immediately softened Andrew’s frosty look.

When his face changed, Bianca felt a pang of envy.

Sarah Cox did mean a lot to him.

“She's fine now.”

With such a short reply, she was left with nothing to say.

It struck Bianca that she could only look up to this man, always.

“Well, how's the baby? Sarah didn't suffer much, I suppose?”

“Remember your work?” Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

Obviously, Andrew did not intend to answer her.

“Ah, yes, of course.” Bianca laughed.

“I just hope that the baby is well. My sister also gave birth to a baby not long ago. In the first few

months she was very careful, trying to avoid any harm to the baby. Anyway, it’s good to know that Mrs.

Bask is well.”

She only wanted to show that she cared about Sarah.

“Get back to work now.” Andrew said directly, only to find her arrival inexplicable.

First, she drew his attention with an impracticable proposal, and then shifted the topic to Sarah, just to

keep his focus on her. If he was not mistaken, it must be so.

“But wait, Mr. Bask. I saw someone today - Emily.”

She made it clear, “I met her when I was waiting for the elevator, the woman exactly whom I saw that

day at the airport. Her name is Emily.”

Of course, she concealed what the woman had told her, but just mentioned how she saw Emily.

Andrew remained calm in his eyes. Looking at her, he said, “What do you mean by this?”

Bianca left the office with a hint of reluctance.

There was still a lot she wanted to ask, but why did she fail to do so?

When Andrew asked her intention of saying those words, how could she explained herself?

She knew nothing about Emily but the fact that the woman was Andrew's mistress, thus the woman

must be someone in his heart. If she had said something wrong about Emily, she would be playing with

fire!

But after all, all she wondered was why his married boss set aside his wife and had an affair with

Emily?

Then what about Sarah? Did he love her still?

Perhaps not. Or why would he seek merry from a woman like Emily, impressively pure but dissolute?

But it occurred to Bianca that she wanted to know more about the woman.

............

Andrew finished his work early in the afternoon, hurrying to drive back home.

When he arrived, Anne Talbot opened the door with a worried face.

"What's going on?"

From her face, Andrew could tell something wrong had happened.

Apologetic, she hesitated.

After a moment of struggling, she, twisting her fingers, said, “I'm sorry, but Sarah knows it.”

His movement to change shoes was frozen and shifted into a stare at her for a second.

She continued, “Back then, Sarah said she had a headache, so I passed her the medicine as you

warned. But a while later, she said it hurt again and urged me to fetch more medicine. But I didn’t

expect that she was waiting at the room door, just to take it from my hand ......”

Anne had hardly finished her words when Andrew took off his shoes like a madman.

He didn’t even put on slippers, his feet in white socks on the cold floor, rushing to the room door, then

he twisted the knob - it was locked.

“Sarah, it's me! Open the door!”

The man pounded on the door, and was greeted, however, by no reply.

“Sarah didn't know it at first. But then, she insisted to figure out what those pills really were. I knew she

would just lose it. So I tried to stop her, but she still ......”

Anne leaned weakly against the wall, regretting her own carelessness.

If she hadn't done it so unnaturally, Sarah wouldn't have been so eager to learn about the medicine.

Now Sarah knew they were for treating schizophrenia ......

Andrew kept kicking the door hard, striking it with his sideways hand and knee, then his whole body,

while twisting the handle with the other hand.

Over and over again he did this, insomuch that he was falling apart!

One last time, with all the strength, all the shouting, he hit the door. When Anne just rash to help, the

door opened!

“Sarah!”

It was late in the evening. With no lights on, the room was pitch-black.

As the wind poured in through the curtains, it brought in a silver lining. Andrew observed a shadow in

the corner by the window. Her black hair covered her pretty face, and her emotions as well. From the

outline, her hands clasped in her lap, with her thin shoulders trembling in the dark.
