Pampered by Billionaires after Being Betrayed

Chapter 14

Chapter 14 You're Healthy

Emily downed several cups of cold soda water, trying to calm herself down.

But what Olivia had said over the phone still made her tremble uncontrollably.

Her body was healthy, capable of bearing children. The doctor who issued the report of blocked fallopian tubes had taken Sophia's money!

Emily suddenly felt a chill run down her spine.

Since when had Sophia been planning all this? She first seduced Nathan at the company, then successfully got pregnant to force him into marriage. She even bribed the hospital's obstetrician-gynecologist to provide her with a fake medical report. And then she arranged for someone to take nude photos of her friend in room 2302.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

It was like a finely woven web, trapping her tightly, leaving no room for escape.

Sophia was a venomous snake.

Olivia had arranged to meet her at a café across from the Hilton hotel, and by now she should be there.

Emily poured herself another large glass of soda water and changed her clothes before heading out.

As soon as she stepped out of the building, she spotted Olivia's bright red car parked conspicuously on the opposite side of the street from the hotel.

Inside the café, Olivia slammed her hand on the table with a loud bang, her chest heaving as she began to curse vehemently, "This Sophia is not even human! She's worse than an animal! And Nathan, he's just blind, rejecting a beautiful and virtuous wife like you and falling for a fox like her. The two of them are a f*cking perfect match!"

Emily held Olivia's phone in her hand, watching a video recording.

It was footage from the surveillance camera outside the hospital's obstetrics and gynecology department.

The camera had originally been positioned directly facing the department's entrance, but the day before it had broken down and the repairman was still fixing it, so the camera's angle had been twisted to face the direction of the fire escape.

In the footage, the obstetrician-gynecologist escorted Sophia out of the building. They seemed very familiar and affectionate with each other. Afterwards, Sophia led her to the fire escape, where there were usually few people, and handed her a bank card, giving her some instructions. The obstetrician-gynecologist nodded knowingly and made an OK gesture.

Emily glanced at the time in the upper right corner, and it was exactly the night before she was forcibly taken to the hospital by Carol for examination.

The video was on loop, but before it could start playing again from the beginning, Emily pressed the stop button and handed the phone back to Olivia.

She didn't want to watch anymore.

"Emily, let's go find Nathan and set things straight!" Olivia grabbed Emily's hand, ready to rush out.

Emily pulled her back, shaking her head. "Forget it, Olivia, I don't want to go."

"Why not? They've framed you as infertile, and now they want to divorce you and have a child with that bitch Sophia. It's outrageous."

Emily sighed and smiled bitterly. "Whether I go to Nathan or not, the result will be the same. Even if I tell him I can bear children, will he reject Sophia, who's already pregnant? No, he won't."

"But we can't let him divorce you so easily! You haven't filed for divorce yet, have you? I'll help you find a lawyer. When you divorce, you must get the compensation you deserve!"

Emily smiled and said, "Olivia, I don't want any more involvement with the Reed family. I don't want their money either. Taking their money would mean endless trouble. It's better to cut ties now and let everyone live their own lives."

Olivia thought for a moment and found Emily's words somewhat reasonable.

Emily was kind-hearted, which in plain terms meant she wasn't ruthless enough. Dealing with someone as despicable as Sophia, resorting to all sorts of dirty tricks, was truly nauseating.

And then there was Carol, who was just plain sick! It was easier and more comfortable to break free from such a person without further entanglement.

"But I'm still angry," Olivia said, hands on hips, visibly frustrated. "Are we just going to let them off the hook like that?"

"God is fair," Emily said, pulling her hand and gesturing for her to sit beside her, speaking in a low voice. "She owes me. The heavens will compensate me elsewhere."

"Yes! And it must be double the compensation!" Olivia huffed, feeling somewhat relieved.

The two talked for a while longer, and Olivia asked about Satan.

"He's a good person," Emily said.

Olivia frowned. "Your answer is too vague. Let me tell you, Satan has had his eye on you for a long time. From your description, he seems to be quite wealthy, maybe even richer than Nathan. You mustn't be clueless this time. If he wants to marry you, you marry him! Sophia will be as mad as a hornet!"

Emily chuckled. "What kind of analogy is that?"

"I'm being generous by comparing her to a hornet. She's more like a jackal and a snake."

After ranting for a while, Olivia's anger had dissipated by half.

Olivia said, "I'll send you a copy of this video later, and I'll keep a copy here, just in case."

Emily nodded. "Thank you, Olivia."

"You don't need to thank me."

Emily smiled. "Okay."

Olivia smiled too. "That's better."

"But..." Emily still had some doubts. "The surveillance footage only shows images, no sound. Did Sophia really pay the doctor to fake the diagnosis?"

"At a time like this, you're still doubting? Do you think Sophia specifically gave the doctor money the day before your examination because she had too much money to spend? She's clearly out to get you! If you don't believe it, let's go to a different hospital for another checkup now. Then everything will be clear."

Olivia directly took Emily to another hospital.

The test results came out the same day.

There were a total of seven or eight items, and the results column for each one had only one word: Normal.

All her indicators were normal. She was perfectly capable of bearing a child.

She didn't have blocked fallopian tubes at all!
