Chapter 34 - The Reveal
A rebellion started inside Jada. She suddenly felt like she was on fire so she stood up to go out, ignoring the chair that fell and the glass that broke when she did.
Her priority was to get out of the restaurant as soon as possible. If she doesn't, she might do something way beyond her imagination.
She heard Honey calling after her. She sounded worried but Jada didn't bother to turn around and look at her.
As she was about ready to run away, someone grabbed her arm. Jada has no plans of checking who that was, but it's too late, she was already stopped.
"What happened?" Lyken asked without letting go of her.
Jada can see the intense worry in Lyken's eyes, but she just felt madder by looking at him. She wanted to give him a good slap, that way he might realize what is wrong, but she forced herself to calm down. "Why did you suddenly run away? You even broke a glass. Is there something wrong Ja?" he asked again.
"I'm fine," withdrawing her arm from him. She noticed that Honey, Kobe, and the rest of their friends were already there too.
"No! You're not fine, Jadanela. What's the problem? Why can't you just say it?"
Jada felt provoked. The way he said it made Jada feel that she's scared of something. She's scared of anything.
"Why is she here?" not knowing where she got the courage to ask, the words spilled from her mouth like vomit. "Did you invite her here?" she asked again but he's still not responding.
He creased his forehead at her. Jada doesn't know if he's not sure what she's asking or he's pretending he doesn't know or he's pretending he wasn't caught doing anything.
"That bitch!" Jada yelled. "What is she doing here and why are you together?"
She was furious and she can't calm down anymore. Even her friends were startled when her voice came out louder than she intended.
"Who are you talking about? Cheska?" he asked, still confused, but for Jada, he was just acting confused.
"Oh, so Cheska's the name!"
"Do you have a problem with her? She's here on a vacation with her friends," Lyken explained.
"I have no problems with her," then she turned around to leave. She hadn't taken two steps when he stopped her again.
"Come on! You have no problem with her then why are you acting like that?" he asked, sounding irritated.
"Why Lyken? How am I supposed to react towards her? Should I be friendly? Should we have a little chit chat?"Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
"Just tell me what the problem is! I know her! She greeted me so I talked to her. That was it! You saw us! We didn't do anything wrong!"
Jada narrowed her eyes at him, "I didn't say you guys did anything wrong now, why are you being defensive?"
"I-I just don't understand why your mood suddenly turned sour," he stammered.
"You won't understand because you don't know anything. Weren't you together at the coffee shop the other day too?" She asked again and shock registered on Lyken's face. "She invited me for a snack. That was it! Nothing more and that's not even important!" he refuted.
Jada's pacing back and forth in front of everyone. She was shaking her head from time to time, especially when she heard Lyken's explanation.
She can't control her body. She was shaking terribly and if she didn't move, she felt like she'd rage at anyone. Finally, she stopped pacing. She placed her hands over her chest and faced Lyken.
"So Lyken, you're saying that what you did years ago isn't important too?" the creases on his forehead deepen. "It was her right? That was Cheska! She was the woman you're with that night after the party!"
She managed to say what she wanted to say calmly, though she felt like she's about to lose it. Lyken's eyes, on the other hand, grew big in surprise. He didn't expect that Jada would say that.
"Speechless?" Jada snickered. "I was right, wasn't I! She was that woman. I won't forget her face nor what you did that night. I saw it with my own two eyes. So go ahead! If you guys want to do it again, I won't stop you!"
In Jada's peripheral view, she can see the surprised reactions on the faces of their friends. She bet they're not expecting these revelations too.
"H-How did you see that?" he stuttered. His voice was shaking, obviously terrified.
"Because I was there," Jada smiled mockingly at him. "I was right inside your fucking closet Lyken!" she blurted out.
Lyken stepped back after hearing what she said. Even Honey covered her mouth in shock and Kobe pressed on his temple.
"I was thinking of surprising you. I even wanted to give you my virginity that night," she chuckled. "So, the silly Jada hid herself inside your closet to carry out her plan. What I didn't know was that I'm the one who'll be surprised! I was there Lyken, I was there and I saw and heard everything," looking straight into his eyes, Jada told him everything that happened that night.
"You can't even answer her with a yes or no," clicking her tongue, Jada shook her head at him. "She asked you didn't she? Cheska asked you if you have a girlfriend and you can't even answer that!" She pushed him away, furious as she recalled everything. "And what Lyken? What did you tell her? That I, your fucking girlfriend, can't even satisfy you with my mouth?" she added.
Jada can feel her knees shaking but she forced herself to be strong, to stay strong. She has to let everything out right here, right now, or else, she'll burst into pieces.
"And you know what hurts the most? Is that you can still entertain her in front of me although you know you did something disgusting with her behind my back!" wiping the tears that won't stop flowing, she glared at him, "Why Lyken? You got what you wanted so you think I can just let go of everything? I can just forget what you did?"
He was just looking back at her, shaking his head slowly. His face was wet from tears too but Jada didn't give a damn. He can cry all he wants but that can't calm her down.
"You're a pig, Lyken Fontanilla, you're disgusting! And I hate myself for giving in to someone like you!"
Jada heard Honey and Bambi calling after her as she ran away from them. She headed to her room and locked the door.
All Jada knows right now is that she has to leave. She needs to be as far from this place as possible. She needs to be far from Lyken.
