Chapter 75
MYKEL
Life had seemed back to normal. Adley and I talked a lot about kids-Jax and our little peanut, as she called it. Peanut didn’t seem fit to call our kid, but who was to fight about it if she found peanut cute.
I still had her spread wide in bed and ate her without mercy. She tasted amazing, the sweetest thing I’d ever put my mouth on. Her body became oversensitive against my touch, and I just loved to watch her as she desperately and helplessly asked for her orgasm.
God, I didn’t know how I loved someone so much I couldn’t breathe. Adley became the center of my life-she became my world-my everything.
Since I found out she was pregnant with our first child, I took pictures of her every day, and sometimes, I had stolen shots of her even in her sleep. I was grinning as I scrolled through our photos on my phone. She was going to hate me for doing this, but she would thank me later.
A soft knock interrupted my thoughts.
I lifted my gaze from my phone. I was surprised to see Lyra at my office door.
“Hey. Come in.” I stood up and helped her to the chair. “What a surprise.”
“Sorry for dropping by.”
“It’s fine. Really. I’m just glad I’m in the office when you come.”
She smiled as she saw books on my desk. “You’re reading.”
“I just found out the size of your baby is about the size of a cantaloupe.”
“You’re gonna be a good father, Mykel. Your dad is proud of you, you know. He talked about you and Knox all the time.”
I nodded. “He told me to be a better father because he felt he failed us. That’s not actually true. I still owed him even if our pasts were not something I’d like to remember, but I became who I am today because of his decisions, what pushed me to work hard to have this life.”
“I’m happy to see you both getting along well.”
“Me too. It feels good that I don’t have to carry burden and anger in my chest. Anyway, you came here alone?”
“Yeah” She looked down at her hands.
“Are you guys okay?”
She looked at me. “Yes, we’re great.”
“You guys are romantically involved now? Sorry to ask. I just thought you two were happy the last time I saw you.”
“We are.”
“That’s good to hear.” I nodded with a smile. “Take care of my father, Lyra. He hasn’t had a good relationship in a long time.”
“I will.”
“Thanks.”Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
She took a deep breath. “I wanna ask a favor.”
I sat across her. “Sure. Anything.”
“It’s about my ex.” She swallowed hard. She seemed uncomfortable talking about her asshole ex.
“Is he bothering you?”
“Not really. I can’t talk to your dad about this. I don’t want him to worry. I know this is a lot to ask, but I thought you and my ex were about the same age.”
“It’s okay. You can tell me everything, Lyra. You can trust me.”
“I know. Thank you.”
“So, what’s bothering you?”
“Two weeks ago, I bumped into him, and he already moved on. He was with another woman. Then he dragged me to the corner, asking me if this was his and why I didn’t get rid of the baby.”
“He’s that asshole, huh?”
“Yeah.” She felt ashamed, though she shouldn’t. Her ex should be.
“You didn’t tell Dad about this?”
“No.”
“What do you want me to do?”
“Can you talk to him to not approach me again?”
I clenched my jaw hard in anger. “I can do better than that. What’s his name? Where does he work?”
After she gave me his name and workplace, I assured her, “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure he can’t get near you and your baby again.”
“Thank you.”
“You don’t have to thank me. Have you talked to your family?”
She shook her head. “I’m not ready to talk to them about my situation like this. Soon, maybe.”
“You should try, Lyra, even more than once. They are still your family.”

Sax quickly found the douchebag sperm donor of Lyra’s baby. Lyra could find a better guy than that asshole, and there was nothing attractive about the guy who was an opportunist, dating his manager to climb up for a better position.
“Are you sure you wanna do this?” Sax asked.
“Do you think I’m not capable of punching that guy’s face?”
Kye looked at Sax before he turned to me. “We do the dirty work. That’s what he was trying to say.”
“No dirty work. I’m doing this the right way.” I slipped the envelope into my jacket pocket before I climbed out of the car.
Sax walked toward the cafe while Kye and I were behind him. Sax gave me a signal that the asshat was with must be his new toy sitting at the corner.
“You two order something, or wait here.”
“Got it, boss.” Sax and Kye occupied the stools.
I walked to the asshat’s table and cleared my throat. “Do you happen to be Liam Mads?”
The asshat answered, “Yes. Can I help you?”
I could ask you the same thing, asshole.
His girlfriend lifted her gaze at me and somewhat recognized me. Her eyes literally lit up. “Oh, my God. You’re Mykel Creed.”
“The last time I checked, yes. Would you mind if I talk to your boyfriend alone?”
“Of course.” She rose from her chair, fixed her dress, tucked her hair behind her ear, and smiled.
I tried hard not to shake my head. Even if you wore a wedding band, some women didn’t care. They still flirted because I was the Mykel fucking Creed.
“So, you’re Mykel Creed? The billionaire.”
“As of this moment, yes. I’m still a billionaire.” I sat across him. “I have an offer.”
“What kind of offer?” he replied instantly. Excitement was all over his ugly face.
“Wait. Let me ask you first, do you know a woman named Lyra Marquez?”
He snorted. “What did that bitch do this time? Can you believe she said I knocked her up? I mean, yeah, I was her first, but because she was into me, so I fucked her.”
I slapped him. It felt good to feel my palm against his little shitty fucking face. I was just waiting for him to finish whatever he wanted to say, but I was already vibrating in anger.
“What the fuck, man?” He narrowed his eyes at me as he touched the mark on my hand.
“Ever heard of a condom?” Said the guy who knocked up his wife on a pill. But that was not my point. Somehow, I saw my younger and arrogant self in this dick. To be honest, that was what I exactly did to Jade when she came to me. And the reason why I was here. I did not think twice when Lyra came asking for my help.
He just abandoned a pregnant woman because he was ambitious as fuck. It sickened me to realize that this was precisely my life years ago.
“So? This is not your damn business.”
“It is now.”
“How so?”
