The Billionaire’s Hidden Heiress

Chapter 34

Grayson

POV

I entered my home, to the pleasant smell of something baking. I inhaled swiftly, appreciating the sweet aroma, as I put my briefcase down, looking around for Flair, who had to be in the home somewhere. She appeared in the front foyer as I took my coat off, taking it from me and folding it over her arm, a small smile on her face.

"You're home early," she said shyly, her cheeks a delightful pink color "is something wrong?" she asked concerned.

"I wanted to come home to my wife," I said nonchalantly and saw her blush even brighter pink, making me grin.

"What is that smell?" I asked eagerly, turning around and sniffing as Flair gave a small giggle.

"I hope you don't mind, I baked some brownies," she said quietly.

Brownies? We just got married this morning and the woman had decided to bake brownies for me? She was heaven-sent. I couldn't remember the last time a woman had done something so heartfelt for me. I beamed. "Mind, why would I mind? I have an insatiable sweet tooth" I drawled, eyeing her meaningfully.

What I wouldn't give to be eating her out at the moment, but there was plenty of time for that later, I thought with anticipation flooding through me.

She flushed. "Well if you don't mind having dessert, before dinner, I can get you one," she said biting her lip and looking even more luscious to me. "I would love to," I told her.

Maybe after the brownie, I could convince her to come up to the bedroom, I thought with a smirk, making myself comfortable on the bar stool at the kitchen counter. It was strange but Flair had already made my house feel more like a home by baking in it. It didn't seem quite so cold as it usually did or as lonely. I watched as she began to cut a brownie from the pan she had left cooling on the counter. My mouth watered in anticipation.

She slid it in front of me, looking apprehensive. I licked my lips, picking up the fork and eyeing it with a grin. I put a bite into my mouth and groaned out loud as the chocolate hit my tastebuds. It was rich, moist, and sweet. Delicious and heavenly.

"It's good," I told her between bites, practically devouring it as she watched wide-eyed "if you want to bake like this all the time, feel free. I might get as big as a house though" I told her, making her giggle again. "Aren't you having some?" I asked nodding at her.

She looked surprised but cut some and sat next to me, nibbling at the brownie. I watched her put the brownie in her mouth, almost groaning at how seductive she looked. I hastily looked away.

"So did you get yourself situated?" I asked, trying to distract myself, staring at the empty plate with a sigh and pushing it aside.

She nodded "I um, I put my stuff in the main bedroom, but if you want separate bedrooms..." she trailed off.

I looked at her mystified. Separate bedrooms? Why would I want separate bedrooms? Didn't that kind of defeat the purpose of being married to someone? Besides, why wouldn't I want to wake up every morning next to somebody as beautiful as Flair? It was every man's dream. To access the complete chapters for free, visit Job nib.com. Had I given her the impression that I wanted something different to a normal marriage? Sure it was a contract marriage but given the stipulations, I wanted it to be as normal as possible. "I want you in our bed, and I want to wake up to you every morning," I told her deliberately, narrowing my eyes at her "is that a problem?" I asked gruffly.

She slowly shook her head "I just wasn't sure" she said quietly "I didn't mean to offend you."

I relaxed. "You didn't offend me, you just surprised me," I said, reaching over and cupping her face "I know that some people, sleep in separate rooms, but that's not anything I have ever wanted. Intimacy is important in any relationship and you did agree to give me an heir" I reminded her softly.

She bit her lip and then looked down at the counter, nodding quietly.

"Flair look at me," I said sharply "I'm not going to drag you to the bedroom and force you to have s*x with me. I'm not that kind of man, but I did think that we had an agreement in regards to providing the heir. If you're not up for it right now, then we can wait, but I do expect you to adhere to the conditions of the contract" I told her, watching her eyes widen and then glisten slightly.

Something was wrong. Very wrong. Her body was stiff and she was trying to avoid my gaze. This wasn't just nerves. I could practically hear how loudly and how fast her heart was racing. I cleared my throat "I'm going to take a shower" I said gently, wishing to give her some time alone "and then we can talk. Meet me in the bedroom" I ordered her.

She didn't answer but I took it as an agreement, sliding off the bar stool and heading slowly upstairs, mulling over what the problem might be. Maybe she was just nervous? I suspected it was more than just general nerves though.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

I stepped foot in the bathroom, tearing my clothes off haphazardly and getting into the shower. I took my time, giving Flair space, and washed myself and even my hair, before stepping out and wrapping a towel around my waist. I padded back out to the bedroom and saw Flair sitting on the bed. I saw her look up, her eyes widened and she blushed before hastily looking back down at the bed. I smirked. So she was physically attracted to me. That wasn't the problem. Not that I had thought it was. I deliberately sat close to her, my knee touching hers, and saw her swallow hard.

Her eyes darted to my chest and then slid away. I was trying not to grin like a Cheshire cat. "So Flair," I said silkily "something is bothering you about the idea of having relations." "It's not that exactly," she said faintly, looking down at her hands.

I reached over and took her hand. "Well, it's something. You look like you're ready to run right now. I didn't think the idea of having s*x with me was so abhorrent to you" I teased.

She looked at me wide-eyed "that's not it at all" she protested wildly "I want to it's just that..." she trailed off sheepishly. So she wanted me. I pinned her with my gaze. She looked like a deer trapped in headlights. She was shifting awkwardly on the bed. I refused to let go of her hand. My voice was silky "Flair, tell me what's bothering you. We can't move past it if you don't tell me and I'm not about to push you to do something if you're not ready" my voice went firm.

I preferred that my women came away from the bedroom after having an extremely pleasurable experience. It would be the same for my wife, every time.

She looked frustrated and then a look of extreme embarrassment came over her face. She pulled her hand out of mine and took a deep breath. I waited.

"I'm frigid" she blurted out, looking away.

Wait what? Frigid? Who the hell had told her that? Rage began to simmer inside of me as the thought of a particular man came to mind. Women were only frigid when their partners were bad in the bedroom, I had come to find. It was their excuse for their bad performance and their way of making their female partners feel bad. I gritted my teeth, feeling an overwhelming urge to punch Johnathon Oakes in the face. Bastard.

"Flair, whoever told you that you were frigid was lying," I said sternly.

"But, it's true" she whispered looking at me frightened "I mean, I never really enjoyed it" she spread her hands out helplessly "with him."

"It being s*x" I checked trying hard not to embarrass or humiliate her.

She nodded looking ashamed.

Son of a b***h. Not only had Johnathon told Flair she was frigid, but he'd been such a selfish bastard that he hadn't even ensured that Flair had enjoyed any of it when they had been making love! Somehow I wasn't surprised though. I could have killed him then and there. The asshole should have been ashamed of himself. I checked myself before I lost my temper completely and scared her. I took deep breaths.

"Sweetheart," I said evenly, causing her to look at me warily "I guarantee that you're not frigid and that the experience you have with me is going to be vastly different from anything you ever experienced with Johnathon."

So help me god it would be or I would drown myself. The thought of being compared to him in anyway was enough to make me want to hurl.

"But how do you know?" she said, looking shame faced "I mean what if it was me?" she said worriedly.

I gave a chuckle "Honey I can guarantee that it had nothing to do with you and everything to do with him" I purred, reaching over and cupping her chin with one hand, forcing her big eyes to blink at me "you're so warm and loving, I bet you anything that you're a wildcat in the bedroom. You just need the right person to draw that out."

She looked at me disbelieving "But I was with Johnathon for three years and..." she trailed off.

Enough hearing about that bastard I thought viciously. What a selfish prick. I leaned forward and kissed her, my lips gentle and tender, my hand going around to the back of her neck and gently squeezing, my other arm stroking her. If she wanted to know for sure if she was frigid, then I was going to show her in no uncertain terms that she wasn't, and by the time I was finished, she was going to forget about Johnathon completely or my name wasn't Grayson Oakes.
