The Billionaire's Mistake (Anya and Daniel)

MISTAKE 173

Chapter 173: Dreaming for a Decade

“Why are you here?” James asked, and his mother scoffed. This son of hers refused to see her no matter what she did

“Are you still in hiding?” his mother answered with this question, and a frown covered James’s face. Seeing as his brother was angry, Gregor stepped forward and placed his mother

behind him

“If she has lost her memory, send her back. She is not welcomed here,” James warned, and Lima codched and responded.

he really has lost her memory; how did you guess it so quickly?” Liam said. Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

“Then remove her. Whatever you are here to say, I am not interested in hearing,” James

dismissed.

“What kind of child are you? I called you to come over several times and you refused. Now I came with my own feet, and you are telling me to go back? What is this about losing memory? I remember quite fine!” His mother, Janet, said, and James turned and started to leave. His mind was too hazy to deal with them.

“Stop right there!” She insisted and walked over to block his way, but James picked her up by the arm and flung her into a tree.

“James!” Liam and Gregor were so shocked they could not react in time. Janet was in utter disbelief. She looked at James as though she did not recognize him.

“You threw…” she started to say, but looked up into his eyes to meet the dead look in his eyes. He hated her? She was confused. Why would he hate her? She suddenly recalled her sons saying something about her memory and became disoriented. He stared at his hands. How can he throw her that far? Was he dreaming? No, he was not. James‘ mind adjusted and came to a

conclusion. He was a powerful being. That is why it was possible.

“Why are you here, and why did you bring her?” James demanded.

“We found the person that mother called long ago to place a curse on you, that is why we came. They are in the town not too far from here we should go,” Gregor seld. He did not have the heart or ability to be angry at his brother right now for throwing their mother James was confused again. Was he dreaming? But he knew what Gregor was thinking, Sexing the fear in his brother’s eyes, he came to a deeper conclusion. He was a werewolf.

His mind filled in the blanks with outrageous tales. James was a rare true wolf. A wolf who came to his wolf state at will.

Everyone was weary of him. His temper was out of this world, and so was his power. He rationalized the fear he saw in their eyes. For some reason, he was used to this fear. When be could not explain why he was used to it, his mind filled the blanks as it liked. It was normal for

them to fear him.

“Then we will leave, but she stays back. If I have to see her face, I will kill faster,” James said and started walking away. For some reason, he was angry with his mother, but he could not remember why.

Janet got up in confusion. She was not sure why her son hated her so much and why his brothers did nothing to stop him from harming her, nor did they even get angry on her behalf. The four of

them immediately dashed forward at an unusual speed, making for the town in no time at all. As they hurried along, she looked at their backs, aggrieved. She was their mother, yet they did not care for her. When they arrived at an inn, Janet finally thought of something. If her son hated her this much, would he not get angry for what she is about to do? But it is for his own good. She is his mother, after all.

When they entered the room, they came face to face with a hooded figure.

“You are a witch?” James asked. His mind wondered how there could be witches but quickly

got suppressed.

“And you are the cursed one,” the hooded figurenswered, “You did good to bring him, Janet.”

The moment they all heard these words, they understood that his mother had lured them here. James turned to full–blown rage, while Gregor and Liam could not believe she would do

this

“Mother, have you lost your mind?” Liam shouted.

“I should have never bothered with you,” Gregor said in anger. He did not quite like his mother, but because she had birthed him, he had decided to let something go. But she will always find a way to cross the line over and over again.

James shot out his hand to grab the Hooded figure by the neck, but the scene had instantly warped, and they had all found themselves in the middle of an alter, Liam and Gregor glanced around as they noticed others in the room. The scene had changed, making James disoriented. Was this a dream? How can there be magle and witches? he wondered, but the thought got squashed again.

“Just hear them out, James,” Janet said, and an old man stepped forward to meet James. He looked at James for a while without a word before nodding

“He will make a fine mate,” the man said, and James frowned.

“Mother, you have ten seconds to explain yourself or I will kill you right here,” Gregor said. Janet felt her heart broken by his words. She had only meant to help them out; why were they hostile? She saw that Gregor was serious and would really kill her if she did not speak and hurriedly explained.

“We have a new Stone oracle; she is perfect for James. Her name is Linna… He has been held up in his house for a while refusing to mate, and I was worried. Janet started to say.

“Enough! We have to start the ceremony,” the old man said, and James dashed forward, grabbed his neck, and instantly broke it. He looked around the room as they all started to panic.

“James, what are you doing? That is the Stone family patriarch!” Janet screamed, and James slapped her across the room, slamming into a large stone. People around started to really panic. It seems that the true wolf did not care about them. They were offended by his actions, but scared never the less. A lot of them attacked James, but it was a one–sided fight. It

take long before several people were sprawled all over the floor, a lot of them dead. The not

hooded figure, from afar, saw the commotion and stabbed his staff onto the ground.

“I will ask you again, are you the witch who cursed me?” James asked, and the hooded figure’s chuckles filled the room.

You only need to find the mate with the right blood, the cursed one. Everything has a purpose,” the hooded figure’s voice, sounded. At that moment, a swirl of wind picked up and swallowed James whole. The next moment, James found himself on a vine–covered bed. He opened his eyes to soft moonlight shining into the bed, cuing him that this was outdoors. Before he could stand, a figure

appeared out of thin air and slammed into him. He looked down to see a petite girl lying on his chest, looking up at him in wonder, her voluminous red hair dancing everywhere.

Stella looked up into very grey eyes in confusion, but the eyes looked back at her in anger. She could see that the person she was looking at did not appreciate her lying on top of him. But when she tried to stand, the vines got in the way, making her struggle. The more she struggled, the angrier he seemed.
