THE CEO WHO SAVED ME by Becca

CHAPTER FIVE

"Just move slowly okay, don't try to rush it" her therapist whose name was Mr Francis said as Amy was trying to force herself to lift her leg.

"Why does it seem so hard?" She asked out of frustration.

"You have to relax Amy, you are making a lot of progress, this past three months you have shown tremendous improvement, so just relax okay" he advised sitting beside her.

Just then, Damian walked into the court they were using. These past few weeks, they two had become a little close, she got to know his name and what kind of person he was in California and how people feared him, she too was scared of him but it was not to a big extent and luckily for her, he was not asking about her past again and they just went with the flow. She was genuinely happy to see him at her therapy session, it has been a whole week that she had seen him. "Good day sir" Dr Francis greeted.

"How is she doing?" Damian asked, he purposely ignored her as she was also pretending not to notice him.

"She is making tremendous progress sir"

"That's good to hear" he said and walked up to Amy.

"Why are you here?" She asked, turning her face away from him.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

"Are you mad at me?" He asked as she sat beside her.

"Why will I be mad at my big brother?" She

asked.

Big brother? Now where is that coming from?".

"You act like my big brother and you are older than me so that makes you my big brother".

"Well suit yourself, hurry up and come up for dinner", Saying that he left.

"Welcome sir" the chief maid greeted as he entered the house. He could notice the disturbed look on her face.

"What is the matter?" He asked.

"Elder Martins is here and he looks really upset," she replied.

"Don't worry, go back to work" he said and walked up the stairs to the second living room. There he met his father sitting down with an expressionless face, he was continuously tapping his stick on the marble floor.

"I have always told you to Inform me before coming to my house, father," he said lazily, lowering himself on the couch.

"How long has that lady been here and who is she?" Elder Martins went straight to the point.

Damian massaged his forehead lightly," is it because of this you came here?, And who told you there is a lady in my house?".

"Do not forget Damian, before you were born I was already here".

He sighed," she's someone am helping" he finally said.

"Is it because of her that you do not want to go on any of the blind dates I set up for you?.

"No" came the short reply.

"You are already thirty one Damian Martins, you better behave and bring home a wife and until you do so,better start going on those blind dates", saying that, he stood up and left.

Damian came out of the shower, his hair was still dripping wet when his phone buzzed. It was a message from Rubby about work, he read it and kept the phone. His mind drifted to the conversation he had with Amy earlier. "Tch tch, big brother how cheesy" he muttered under his breath and smiled. He quickly got dressed and went down for dinner. Amy was already seated by the time he reached.

"What took you so long, big brother?" She asked, smiling at him.

"I am not your big brother Amy" he hissed.

"Of course you are," she replied teasingly and focused on her food.

"By the way, are you sure you can handle the therapy?, If it's too difficult, you can quit and wait a while"

"No" she interrupted, "I must finish it quickly"she replied and sounded distant which left him wondering.

"But can you stop calling me big brother?" He

asked again in a serious tone and she burst out laughing.

"What is so wrong with that? You always claimed you were my big brother".

"Yes, I see you as a little girl, now keep quiet and eat" he scolded gently. A call came across his phone interrupting their discussion.

"What is it?" He spoke huskily.

"Boss, it's the Avanti group of companies, they have refused to sign the deal saying you didn't show up as planned for the meeting" came Rubby's voice.

"Cancel the deal and send our legal team to them" saying that he disconnected the call.

"Wow, you are really scary as I have heard these past few weeks".

"So better be scared" he said and continued his food.

It was a Saturday morning, Amy was done with her morning session of therapy and relaxing on the couch when Damian walked in, he was dressed in his gym wear and sweat was dripping down his body, his hair looked disheveled from too much exercise, Amy kept looking at him until he stood in front of her.

"I know I'm handsome, you can stop drooling now" he said jokingly.

"I was not drooling" she tried to defend herself looking away.

"Well, that's your business, I will go and freshen up " when he goes upstairs. Thinking for a while, she brought out her phone and began to check for information on her family. It's been a year now that she was left to die. Scrolling through the phone, she could see pictures of her dad and step mum, they looked happy in the picture.

"Did dad even try to look for me?" She muttered under her breath in anger. Next she saw a picture of Jennie and Gwen, they also looked happy.

"You all think you can get rid of me easily right?" She said to the picture.

"Who are you talking to?" Damian asked, sitting beside her, he snatched her phone from her.

"It's bad manners to do that" she snapped and tried collecting the phone back but he didn't give it back.

" Hmm, Sabastian Wilson" he muttered to himself," do you know him?" He asked, turning to her.

"Everyone knows them in my city so why wouldn't I know them?".

"Oh okay, so why are you checking the news about them?".

"It's because I want to be updated on the happenings" she answered immediately.

"Is there something you aren't telling me, Amy?" He asked in a serious tone.

"No, nothing," she replied. Just then Rubby entered the house and met them sitting and discussing something.

"Good morning boss," he said, walking up to them.

"Good morning Rubby" Amy greeted.

"I thought we finished all the pending work yesterday, why are you here?" Damian asked without looking up from his phone.

"It's Elder Martins boss" Rubby replied.

"What does my dad want this time?" He asked, already getting angry.

"He asked me to make sure you go on the blind date he set for you" Rubby replied and moved three paces back, he was scared of what Damian might do.

"Blind date?" Amy asked in a disappointed tone.

" Rubby, are you working for me or my father?" He snapped angrily.

"I'm sorry boss".

"Go back and tell him I'm busy" he said and left the two of them.

"Why would his father set him up on a blind date?" Amy asked.

"He is already thirty-one and not yet married" Rubby replied and also walked off.

Damian entered his room and slumped on the bed as he brought out his phone, he began to scroll down his gallery and it was filled with Amy's picture from the hospital down to today.

" Why do I feel like this around you Amy?" He muttered under his breath, "I have never felt like this before, why do I suddenly feel like this around you and for God's sake stop calling me your brother Amy" he snapped more to himself.

His mind drifted back to the first time he felt like that, it was a few weeks back, he had entered her room to check on her, she was sprawled on the bed sleeping without a care in the world and at that moment, he felt something in his stomach. Looking at her face, how peaceful it looked as she slept was an image he could not forget. He was tempted to touch her but he quickly regained his senses and rushed out of the room.

"I don't know what you are doing to me Amy " he muttered in a frustrated voice.
