The Ex-Husband's Revenge

Chapter 3129

"Miss Morrison, I would like to thank you for saving my life,"

Iris said as she approached Renee's bed.NôvelDrama.Org content rights.

She meant to thank Renee for having saved her so narrowly from death during their encounter with one of Brahma's clones, which was why she lingered in Renee's room even after everyone left.

"Miss Young, if you would truly like to return the favor, there is something you can do for me," Renee said, biting her lip as though what she was about to say was an excruciatingly difficult decision to make. "What is it?" Iris asked, although she felt like she already knew what was the answer.

"I would like to join you in being Leon's companions," Renee said with an expectant look She harbored feelings toward Leon for some time now but refrained from competing against Iris and Cynthia, knowing there was no way she could win.

However, she had an epiphany after her narrow escape from death and realized that there was so much more to life than competing with other women over a man.

Therefore, instead of becoming nemeses, she would much rather join their leagues.

This was, in her opinion, undoubtedly the best option they had.

"Um," Iris was at a loss for words.

The last thing she wanted was for another woman to join her in "sharing"

Leon's affections, but Renee saved her life, and she was in no position to turn Renee's request down.

"Miss Morrison, I hope you've considered this long and hard because there's no guarantee that Leon will ever say yes," she finally replied, sighing.

"No matter! Even if he doesn't give me an answer now, I can wait, just as Miss Shear is! I'm willing to wait as long as it takes- provided you are fine with the arrangement, of course!" Renee replied, a look of steadfast determination on her face.

"Very well, then.I can see how adamant you are, and I have no choice but to accept." Iris knew there was no point objecting any longer.

"Thank you so much, Iris."

Renee was so delighted by this that she pulled Iris into a tight embrace.

Tears of joy slid down her face, and if one were to pay close attention, one would notice that she began calling Iris by her first name, as though symbolizing the shift in their relationship. "Perhaps this is fate,"

Iris muttered to herself as she patted Renee's back in reassurance.

She knew full well that Renee was not the last of her competitors-surely Snow, Ruth, and Roanne would soon follow suit.

After all, the three of them spent considerable time with Leon and Iris, and surely they would have grown used to the arrangement by now.

Perhaps they might have even developed feelings for Leon, just as Renee had, and would refuse to leave his side.

After Iris was forced to accept Cynthia and Renee's addition into their lives, she was certain that it would not be long before Snow, Ruth, and Roanne made the same request.

This, no doubt, was not an ideal situation for her, but there was nothing she could do about it.

Leon spent the next couple of days attending to his business in the Western Region, and after that, he and Iris set off for the Central Region.

Renee already obtained permission from her grandfather to join Leon's league, so she, too, insisted on accompanying them.

Leon had all the right mind to turn her down, but she was adamant, and strangely enough, Iris did not object to her presence, so Leon finally had no choice but to bring her along.

Upon their arrival at the Central Region, he sought out Pierre to discuss their arrangements for the future.

Since Central Boss and the Micahs met their downfall, considerable measures had to be put in place to maintain order in the Gangster World.

With Pierre and the Dragon Corps' help, Leon assigned Mason to take the place of Central Boss and become the new leader of the Gangster World.

As for the Chanters, their defeat

resulted in an empty spot amongst the three ancient families; and Leon had all the right mind to shift his business over from Springfield City to fill in this spot.

Thus another dilemma was settled!

At the same time, the Chanters'

defeat earned Leon the respect of both percival and Alastair, who both agreed, without a single doubt, that Leon fully deserved the newfound status as the head of the three ancient families. Visit
