Everything would be fine as long as he could find Rosalie hidden in Fox Group. Even the president wouldn't have the authority to punish him. Unfortunately, he was unaware that Rosalie had just left the Fox Group mere minutes ago.

The hackers from Ten Thousand Armies had invaded the Fox Group's security surveillance system right after Rosalie's departure. They manipulated and edited every surveillance that showed Rosalie.

All the while, Rosalie made her way to the port in New York Harbor. There happened to be a cargo ship from the Ito-Schulz Ocean Shipping Group at the harbor. Since the cargo ship was ready to return to Oskia, Charlie arranged for Rosalie to immediately leave the United States by boat.

The cargo ship was scheduled to sail back to Oskia from New York on its usual route via the Panama Canal into the Pacific Ocean. But due to the long voyage, Rosalie was to take a helicopter to Cuba when the ship passed through Cuba, and then fly to Oskia from Cuba. The confident Merlin was completely unaware of Charlie and Rosalie's plan. He called the New York chief police and shared all his information, suspicions, and plans. He requested the chief police's help to support his mission with a search warrant. The chief police was quite peeved by Merlin's actions. After learning that Rosalie was possibly connected to the dozens of murder cases in New York, however, he immediately sent support to Merlin with little fuss.

He shared the same position with Merlin. It didn't matter if the mysterious people were fighting evil or not. Either way, he must arrest these people and bring them to justice. Were he to fail, it would be a disgrace to the entire New York police department.

As a result, many police from all over New York gathered at the Fox Group's headquarters. The New York police's strongest SWAT Special Forces were present as well.

Police blocked all entrances and exits of the Fox Group to prevent Rosalie from fleeing. They also sent many officers to guard the perimeters, and these included hidden armed special forces and snipers.

Others were tasked to confirm the Fox Group staff member's identities. Those whose identities were confirmed were asked to leave immediately. If they could not find Rosalie, the police would bring a lie detector and perform a blanket search in the Fox Group's headquarters.

The New York police also notified

the immigration department to restrict Rosalie's exit as an extra countermeasure. If Rosalie appeared at the border, the powerful face recognition system could detect her face within one second and alert the police immediately.

With all these precautions, Merlin firmly believed Rosalie could not escape his grasp.

While the New York police were

setting up a trap in the Fox Group to detain Rosalie, Charlie had already arrived in New York. Quinn was having her final rehearsal at

performance venue tonight. Her first

concert in the United State

officially start in New York at eight o'clock tomorrow evening.

Charlie wasn't in a hurry to meet her.

Instead, he planned to meet Janus at his restaurant first. He wanted to discuss with Janus about the current circumstances, and take the opportunity to ask Janus if the latter was interested in returning to Oskia.

This time, Charlie made sure to keep a low profile and took a helicopter to the vicinity of Oskisatown. After disembarking, he walked to Oskiatown alone.

Since his experience of coincidentally meeting his uncle Christian in Janus's restaurant, he had learned his lesson and put on a baseball cap and mask as a precaution.

As Charlie neared the restaurant, he spotted a young man in his twenties snatching a girl's phone on the roadside. The robber then quickly jumped into a black car and fled. The robbed girl, panicked, shouted nervously, "Please call 911 for me! I just got robbed!"
