We Got Love, The Crazy Kind

Chapter 2 Fiancée

Chapter 2 Fiancée

Fiancée?

Paparazzi looked each other and started pressing their shutters again.

“Liam Croft! Didn’t you engage with Mia Cavendish, the daughter of the boss of Cavendish Property

Group? Amber Currie is my girlfriend! Stop it!” Oliver Stein was panic to find the drama started to run Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

out of his control.

Amber Currie was impressed by the sense of security given by this tall man.

So that was his name—Liam Croft.

Liam cast a cool glance at Oliver: “Amber is your girlfriend? Ask her again.”

Amber turned over and looked at Oliver. This handsome face, smeared with nose blood of his own,

was rather hideous yet funny-looking.

Was this man the sweetheart she loving for four years? Why on earth he sold her out to set up Liam

Croft? On all accounts Oliver Stein had never loved her for sure!

Her heart was burning in sadness when all the sweet memories and loving whispers were falling apart,

proven by this dirty trap as nothing but lies.

Tears started to run down again against her will. Amber cleared her throat and tried to control her voice:

“Liam, who is this ridiculous man? Send them out. What a shame to ruin our beautiful night!”

Her hands, trembling and icy cold, held Liam’s arm to keep herself from falling down.

Journalists stood gazing at one another, totally dumbfounded.

It was Oliver Stein who offered them the exclusive that President of the Watson Group was going to

fuck a girl student, on the top of a generous “thank-you” reward of 4000 dollars for each of them to spot

this “break-in” funny business.

The scandal of the boss of the Watson Group, what a perfect gossip news for Page Six! Not to mention

the inviting offer of 4000 dollars—anyone would jump at the opportunity though Liam Croft was indeed

a difficult guy.

Who would know they ended up with such an ugly moment?

“I said, get out.” Liam said, poker-faced, his voice deadly quiet. However, everyone present felt a

shudder running through their veins.

Amber glanced at him confused. What an unfathomable man—coolly self-possessed in front of so

many cameras.

The paparazzi rushed away, dragging the begrudged Oliver with them as well.

When the room quieted down, Liam walked towards the bedside ottoman straightaway and started to

put on his shirt.

A glimpse of his strong chest and abdomen awoke Amber to a panic attack.

In a hurry, she put on her down jacket left in a corner and gave back the black coat to its owner. “Mr.

Croft, thanks for your coat.”

Buttoning up his shirt with one hand, Liam took over the coat with another.

Black cashmere highlighted his slim, powerful fingers, tanned, healthy skin and his short, well-polished

finger nails.

Liam went on to reached for his trousers on the ottoman without any intention to shun her presence.

How embarrassing!

Amber flushes bright pink: “I should go now. Bye!”

“Let’s make a deal?” Liam stopped and turned his eyes at her.

His eyes, shadowed by a prominent brow ridge and heavy eyebrows, intense and penetrating.

“Pretending to be your Fiancée? I already did.” Amber responded instantly.

“No, be my real finance. We will launched the news tomorrow and get marry one month later.” Liam

said with studied understatement and perfect self-assurance.

Amber inhales sharply and stared at Liam into his eyes: “Why are you so sure that I will accept your

offer?”

“You hate that man, right? This is a good chance to take your revenge.”

Liam’s voice, so charming and masculine, only to alarm Amber more.

No wonder he said “Amber is your girlfriend? Ask her again.” He had figured out her thought already

Discreet, discerning, so good at taking advantage of others’ weakness.

A total schemer and control freak.

“Only a nominal and legal couple. I will not touch you. As long as you live in my apartment in the three

months before the wedding, you can do whatever you want, even including dating someone else.” Liam

said with pure certainty, “otherwise we will both fall infamous.”

So true! Who would believe that she was set up by her beloved boyfriend? A naked woman and a man

in bath towel in a hotel room alone at mid-night. Who would believe their moral innocence?

Damn it!

Liam’s mouth quirked up at her frustration, “You have one night to consider about it.”

He gave her a business card. “Call me when you have made up your mind.”

Amber Currie would call him.

He was sure about it.

Reeled from all the drama, Amber stumbled out of the room. She tucked his card deep into her pocket

as if it would bite.

On her way to the elevator, Amber caught a glimpse of a familiar figure from the window.

Oliver Stein!

He had the cheek to wait for her at the gate of the hotel!
