After the long journey, she didn't even return home to rest. Instead, she went straight from the airport to the police station to file an official report.

The entire process was captured by the media that had been waiting for a long time, and the news quickly spread online.

The news spread, but it didn't create waves. This was because Emelie had already been trending online for at least two days now.

Initially, the netizens were merely enjoying a glimpse of the luxurious aristocratic wedding across borders while learning about the Filo family's influence in Faldoria. They felt proud that the bride was from Cedonia. They admired the extravagant decor and casually left comments under the posts.

One question was straightforward, and they asked if she believed that Xander's case was a wrongful conviction.

This was the tricky part. If it was a wrongful conviction, it wasn't just the Middleton, Davis, Swanson, and Collins families who were at fault. The judiciary involved in handling the case back then would also have to answer for it.

Emelie quickly denied it.

"In legal terms, a retrial doesn't just mean overturning a previous verdict. It also means there's new material and evidence to re-examine the case.

"Many people might not know, but I actually filed two reports when I went to the police that day.

"One was a whistleblowing report. I accused Caleb, Maverick, Kaden, and Henry of criminal activities from 28 years ago. The evidence is my father Xander's account book.

"The other report was a formal complaint. I'm suing Charles, Beathan, Bryan, and William for their persecution of me and my adoptive parents. I've already handed all the evidence to the police.

"The reason I've filed for two reports is that I agree with the court's ruling in Xander's case back then. I just think it wasn't comprehensive enough. Caleb, Maverick, Kaden, and Henry slipped through the cracks. They should also

Throughout all of this, Emelie didn't use any connections and followed the procedure to the letter.
