You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 33 Something Fishy

Orion Russo nodded.

Freya’s body stiffened, as if doused with a bucket of cold water pouring down from above, chilling her from head to toe.

Didn’t Elijah say he doesn’t like Liora Valentine?

How could he let her pregnant if he had no feelings for her?

“Freya, are you okay?” Orion Russo asked with concern as he noticed that her complexion was not quite right.

Freya came to her senses and quickly shook her head, “I’m fine.”

She felt a little disappointed when she heard about Liora Valentine’s pregnancy. Soon she was relieved. It was none of her business who Elijah was getting along with. She could not be dissatisfied with this either.

“Freya, there’s something off about you. Could it be that you’ve fallen for Elijah?” Orion Russo looked at her with suspicion. ”

After all, her reaction was a bit excessive.

Freya looked up at him and asked, “Do I have it?”

Orion nodded. “Yes.”

“I’m not reacting because I like him, but because I’m worried in my heart.” Freya sat down on the bench by the hallway and said, “I have self-awareness and I won’t have any feelings for Elijah.”

She reached out and touched her belly. There were probably very few men who would be willing to raise someone else’s children. How could a man as proud as Elijah Silverton ever be interested in a woman like her?

She was well aware of that.

“What are you worried about?” asked Orion.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

“Liora Valentine knows that I am Elijah’s wife and she harbors deep hostility towards me. She constantly tries to make things difficult for me. Now that she is pregnant with Elijah’s child, she can use his influence to suppress me even more. I can already imagine how difficult my future will be.”

As soon as Freya finished speaking, Orion couldn’t wait to say, “So, I think you should get a divorce. That way, Liora Valentine won’t bother you anymore, especially since you’re pregnant…”

“I know,” Freya thought to herself. After work tonight, she could go visit Jack Silverton. If he knew that Elijah had a child, he would be very happy. And she was able to get out too.

“Orion, go ahead and do your work. I also need to go for registration.” Freya stood up.

Orion Russo wanted to say more, but seeing that she didn’t want to discuss it anymore, he swallowed his words.

Outside the hospital, Liora Valentine got into Elijah’s car. She smiled and lightly opened her red lips, “Elijah, have you checked it?”

This time, she didn’t address him as Mr Silverton. She intentionally call his first name.

Elijah’s slender figure leaned back wantonly, and he slowly raised his eyelids to stare at her, who maintained a polite smile. However, both her hands were tightly clasped together, and her palms were sweating profusely.

Elijah’s breath was too calm, making it impossible for her to glimpse his inner thoughts and emotions. He didn’t get angry when she called his name.

Did this mean that he had accepted her?

Thinking that she had relaxed a lot in her heart, she asked, “Um, would you want this child?”

“Are you sure you’re pregnant?” Elijah’s gaze skimmed over her high heels.

Liora Valentine glanced down, realizing that she had forgotten her current “pregnant” state in her efforts to maintain a good image in front of Elijah. In a hurry, she explained, “It’s okay to wear high heels when I’m just pregnant.”

Elijah’s face slightly darkened, but he didn’t say anything. He ordered Xander, “Drive.”

“Where are we going?” Liora Valentine asked.

Elijah’s silence made her uneasy and slightly panicked. She asked cautiously, “The child, do you want it?”

Elijah silently watched her, while Liora felt her heart racing under his gaze. After all, she had nothing to offer and felt vulnerable.

After a moment of silence, he spoke slowly and deliberately, “If you really have my child in your belly, I will take responsibility.”

Liora was ecstatic, and if she wasn’t in front of Elijah, she might have burst out laughing. Even so, her face still couldn’t conceal her joy and excitement.

“Then, would you marry me for the sake of our child?” She asked again, with joy in her heart.

Elijah’s tone was flat, concise, cold and unfeeling. “No.”

When Liora Valentine heard these words, the smile on her face seemed to freeze.

“What do you mean?”

“It’s simple, I just want the child.” Elijah said with a hint of impatience in his voice.

Liora Valentine was no longer calm, “So where are you taking me now?”

“Hospital,” Xander said. He turned to look at Liora Valentine and said, “You may be able to have children, but the mother of your child will never be you.”

If just now she was only unsettled, now she was scared.

“Go to the hospital for what?” Liora anxiously asked.

“It’s pretty clear, for a test.” Xander replied.

Liora Valentine’s face turned pale as she thought that once Elijah conducted the test, he would believe that she was carrying his child. And he would feel responsible for her and the baby and decided to divorce Freya and marry her for the sake of their child. After getting married, she would look for another opportunity to have an abortion.

But what about going for a checkup now? What should she do?

She didn’t have a child in her belly!

“Elijah…”

“I don’t like you calling me by my first name.” Elijah interrupted coldly, but he couldn’t help noticing her panicked expression. Even though he knew that he had only been with Liora Valentine, if someone was pregnant, it had to be her.

In theory, he had no reason to doubt.

But still, he didn’t believe it. He didn’t believe that Liora Valentine was really carrying his child. He wanted to find a doctor he trusted and see her get checked out before believing anything. Looking at her expression now, Elijah thought there seemed to be something fishy going on.

Liora Valentine’s nervous eyes couldn’t find a place to rest and she dared not look at Elijah as she forced herself.

“I still have work today and can’t go.” Said Liora.

“That’s not up to you.” Elijah leaned back in his seat with his legs crossed and an indifferent expression, “The way you’re acting makes me feel like you’re lying.”

If she really was playing tricks on him then don’t blame him for being ruthless!

Liora Valentine was almost scared out of her wits. At this moment, how much she wished for a car accident so that the ‘child’ would disappear directly!

Just when she was anxious about how to get out of this situation without getting caught, she found wetness between her legs–perhaps even the heavens were helping her–she got menstruation.

She covered up,”My stomach hurts so much.”

She pretended as if it were an abortion-like situation.

Blood flowed down from between her legs.

Elijah frowned deeply; could it be true that she really was pregnant? Did the pressure he put on her lead…?

He did not like this woman but wasn’t cruel enough yet where even his own child would be unwanted.

He said sternly, “Xander, drive faster.”

Xander stepped harder on the gas pedal. Just then, a white SUV came speeding towards them with its engine roaring like thunder from across their intersection while crossing over into their lane heading straight towards them!

Xander panicked trying avoid collision but it was too late already

The violent impact instantly made their car unrecognizable. The other vehicle slid backwards more than ten meters away after being hit head-on

Their car wasn’t any better off either, severely damaged with Xander’s airbag popping out already. Blood streamed down from Xander’s head, causing him lose consciousness immediately.

Elijah felt splitting headache before losing consciousness himself but saw someone inside the other vehicle just before everything went black.
