You Complete Me novel (Skylar and Coralie)

Chapter 516

Chapter 516

"Well, get up and change your clothes quickly. You can't get used to this state. What if you acted like

this in front of your father?" Alma urged.

"Alright, I'll get up right away."

Seeing that she agreed, Natasha quickly got up and went to change her clothes.

She had been living outside with Alma for ten years when she was young, and her friends were all

hooligans.

After moving to the Jules family, to ingratiate herself with Marvin, she pretended to be well-educated

and sensible.

Alma and Natasha had lunch outside before going shopping in the afternoon.

However, they didn't buy any gowns. Natasha took a fancy to a limited edition dress of Brand S, which

cost 170,000 dollars. Of course, Alma wouldn't buy her such expensive clothes for her to only attend

the graduation party.

However, since Natasha had seen the high-end ones, she was not willing to buy the cheaper dresses. NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.

None of them were willing to surrender, so they decided to go for afternoon tea before going to other

shops.

When they arrived at the cafe, they sat down and made their orders. Natasha badgered, "Mom, I can

only attend the graduation party once in my life. Besides, there are some people from rich families on

my campus. If they take a fancy on me, I can make you proud as well, right?"

"It's 170,000 dollars. How can I have that much money to buy you that dress? And how many times

would you wear that dress? You wear it once for the graduation party and perhaps once at the

company's annual party. That's all!"

All in all, Alma was not willing to pay such a large amount of money.

The pocket money she got from Marvin for a month was less than enough to buy the dress.

"But... There are so many people at the graduation party. I can't lose face!"

"Why would you lose face? The dress that costs 30,000 dollars that I showed you was great too.

Ordinary people can't afford it either. Ask Lucille how much she spends a month?"

Alma's heart ached for the money, but she couldn't say it directly. In a rage, she mentioned Lucille.

She felt that Natasha was well off, but she took it for granted.

"Mom, I am your daughter. How can you compare me to her?" Natasha mumbled.

"You don't want to be compared with her, right? She just divorced Franklin, and now she is together

with another rich young man. What about you? What happened after you went to approach Franklin?"

Alma had thought carefully along the way. Marvin was not ignorant. The attitude he showed in front of

Zoel proved that the Parker family was not simple for sure.

What about Natasha? She was just a good-for-nothing!

"Then what can I do? It's all your fault that you didn't bear me to be prettier, and you weren't willing to

give me money for plastic surgery! Why don't you give me some money? I'll get breast implants.

President Moore would fall in love with me by then."

Natasha thought that men all liked big boobs, didn't they?

When Alma and Natasha were arguing, the waiter served the food and whispered, "Excuse me, can

you please lower your voice? It will affect the other customers."

"Okay." Only then did Alma realize that they had talked too loudly. She quickly agreed and turned to

Natasha, "Shut up! What a shame!"

"Did I shame you? It's all because you don't make enough money that you can't even afford to buy me

a dress!"

Natasha was unhappy to hear Alma's words.

"Then go and make money on your own!" Alma retorted.

"Make money on my own? Why should I make money by myself when you are relying on a man? What

job should I do to make enough money for my own spending? Those rich people make so much money

everyday. I just have to wait for them to give me some money to spend."

"Well, you must also have the ability to do so!"

They argued with each other and then quarreled again.

At this time, three women were chatting and laughing with each other as they walked down from the

second floor.

The place Alma and Natasha sat was very close to the stairs. When they came down, the women

heard the conversation between them.

The woman who walked in the front stepped wore eight-centimeter high heels and carried a bag made

of crocodile skin. She walked over, looked at Alma arrogantly, and showed a smug smile. "Hey, Mrs.

Jules, are you having afternoon tea with your daughter?"

Alma raised her head and saw that the women in front of her were none other than those rich ladies

who had attended the tea parties she went to before.

The one who spoke was Patricia. Her husband, Stephan Jakeman, was the chairman of the Chamber

of Commerce in A City.

"Oh, Mrs. Jakeman. It's been a long time." Alma stood up quickly and muttered in her heart. She was

afraid that Natasha's rude words would be heard by them.

It was shameful enough for her to be kicked out of the circle because of Lucille's matter!

"Well, Mrs. Jules, I don't think that your daughter's thinking is proper. For girls, no matter what, they

have to be independent and self-reliant. Even if they want to rely on men, they have to consider

whether or not they have the ability, right?"

Patricia looked up and down at Natasha. Natasha was thin, her face was sunken, and her lips were

thin. Although she dressed nicely, she didn't look adorable at first glance.

"How dare you criticize me?" Natasha did not even know who the woman in front of her was.

"Oh, you have a bad temper." Patricia mocked with a smile, "You are much worse than your sister in

appearance, but she was miserable too, as she was married to Franklin. Your family is really willing to

sacrifice a lot to make up for your deficiencies."

Everyone in A City knew who Franklin was. The woman who married him must have to endure holding

an empty title.

Patricia was one of the dominant rich ladies in the tea party group. Alma felt embarrassed after hearing

her words and said, "Yes, it was our fault before, but recently, Lucille has got a boyfriend when she

worked in the art gallery."

"Really? That's great." Patricia didn't take it seriously.

"Yes, we thought he is an ordinary man at first, so we didn't care much about it, but we just knew that

the man's grandfather is the director of Rogstar Museum, Roger. He told me that he is quite powerful,

but I have never heard of it."

In fact, Alma was taking a risk to say so. What if Zoel was really powerful?

She noticed that when she mentioned Roger, Patricia's expression froze, and the corner of her mouth

twitched.

The two rich ladies standing behind Patricia also showed incredible expressions. Alma then realized

that Zoel could really be a powerful character!

"Roger's grandson?"

Patricia confirmed it again.

"Yes, Mrs. Jakeman. Do you know him? He didn't tell me clearly today. He's just the director of a

museum..." Alma spoke while observing the expressions of the three rich ladies. She chuckled secretly.

"You are too ignorant." Patricia thought Alma really didn't know about it, so she said, "Compared to

their family, businessmen like us are nobodies. They are much superior to us."

"What do you mean?"

Alma then remembered that Marvin once mentioned that the Parker family originated from the royal

family. In her opinion, the noble identity hundreds of years ago was nothing in society that valued

money the most nowadays.

It seemed that this was not the case.

Patricia gazed at Alma with a shrewd look and asked, "What's the name of your daughter's boyfriend?

Let me see if I know him."

"His name is Zoel Parker."

Alma did not hide anything. She wanted to make use of Patricia to spread the news that Lucille had

found another rich man to support her.

When Patricia heard this, she said immediately, "Mrs. Jules, when are we going to have afternoon tea

together?"
