I came down from Anderson’s car and watched him drive off.
The ride was so awkward.
It was disturbingly silent.
Normally, the Anderson I’ve come to know would spare no chance he had to bug me.
He’d disturb me with something that’d in one way or another lead to an argument, no matter how I tried to not let it go.
But this time was different.
He barely spoke five words to me apart from “You’re my wife.”
I tried to argue with him but he didn’t even reply.
He was thinking of something, but I wasn’t too sure.
… Not until he didn’t notice a truck in front of us and continued driving speedily.
That was when I realized he was truly thinking about something.
And not just thinking…
He was absentmindedly driving the car.
A quick shock wave my brain received was all it took for my hand’s reflex action to come alive.
I quickly turned the steering and got us into another lane before lowering the speed of the car.
He looked at me strangely and I stared at him, trying to get him to thank me, but it was like he was hypnotized.
I got pissed.
“A ‘thank you’ would be polite!”
I yelled at him.
But the only thing he did was take his eyes off me and back on the road.
I hissed and started sulking, but the idiot never said anything again till he dropped me off in front of my home.
“Make sure you come to work tomorrow.”
He said before throwing a key at me.
“That’s the key to my house.”
“I thought your door was…”
I tried to say, but he cut me off.
“Automatic?”
He helped me say and I nodded.
“It is, but it comes with a key too. Since your fingerprint isn’t registered on my door yet, use the door manually.”
He said and with that, he drove off.
Staring at the car till it vanished from sight, I turned my back and into my house, I went.
Meanwhile…

I arrived home earlier than I thought I would.
Walking to the front door, I pushed a small button on the side and the door was opened from within.
“Welcome back home miss.”
A young girl in her late teens, who was my maid, Maria greeted, her head bowed.
Nodding, I walked past her and into my house.
I had left Dad’s company almost immediately after Anderson and that maid of a girl was gone.
I didn’t know why, but I suddenly felt the urge to go and soak in a bath.
“Maria.”
I called out to the maid standing a few feet away from me.
She scurried towards me and bowed.
“Yes, miss?”
“Prepare a warm Lavender bath.”
I ordered.
She shook her head, bowed slightly, and left.
I walked to the ba and picked out a glass of wine and wine glass before sitting down on one of the stools.
Pouring a drink into the wine glass, I ran my index finger on the glass rim as I thought of what had happened earlier today.
To be honest, I don’t even know who to support between that two b! itches in case the time for that comes up.
I’ll need to support those who’ll be beneficial to me.
I picked up the wine glass and put it on my lips and after taking a sip, I shook it in my hand, trying to relax my jumbled thoughts and think thoroughly.
Phoebe on one hand is an aspiring cosmetic business mogul, and since I deal with cosmetics too, it’d be beneficial to support her right?
But I need to acquire the companies under Anderson to be able to exert my long-awaited revenge on him.
I still can’t believe he killed Peter till today.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
Just the thought of it alone irks me and wants to make me rip his head off his body…
… But he’s my only sibling, right?
I can’t do that to family.
So instead, I’ll take over the companies under him one by one, and makes sure his failure bites him in the face.
Watching him lose his sanity would be refreshing until I get to watch him cry out in agony and so doing, revenge Peter…
I’m not done!
So since Phoebe is not on good terms with Anderson…
Nah.
I think I’ll go with the other girl.
They say the enemy of your enemy is your friend but to me… The friend of your enemy is your enemy, but beneficial still.
I’ll need to support and get close with the b! tch, Anderson likes to get information about Anderson… Unknowingly to the both of them and then strike.
Yeah…
That b! tch’s my enemy too, but in this case…
I consider her more beneficial.
Placing a huge smirk on my face, I took two short sips from my wine glass.
At that moment, Maria showed up from April’s room.
“Your Lavender bath is a ready miss.”
She announced trying to get April’s attention.
April turned to her and nodded, signaling she could leave.
Maria bowed slightly and exited.
April took a long sip of the wine, dropped the glass on the bar table, and climbed up the stairs to her room.
… The next day ♡♡
Anderson hurried off to work quite late than usual.
He’d stayed up all night thinking of what he had to do to avoid April blackmailing him or anything and ended up sleeping late.
One thing he hated in his life was blackmail and he had successfully avoided it all 23 years of his life, but it seemed like April had made up her mind to blackmail him using the past.
If what he was guessing was correct, she was gonna blackmail her way into all the sub-companies and so doing, push him out.
He won’t allow that!
April was very business competitive, but the remaining sub-companies should, would, will, and must stay under his command alone!
