My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2273

Preslie's eyes widened. "Mr. Hawls, you..."

As she said this, Sheldon pushed the door to the private room open.

He then said, "Preslie, please have a pleasant chat with the president."

Preslie looked ahead and spotted a man who was sitting down.

He was dressed in a black suit. He was tall, handsome and had a very dignified aura about him. It was Tremaine!

Preslie was shocked to see him!

Her mind was in a complete mess!

"Why is Tremaine here?!" Preslie suddenly became as timid as a mouse.

What was going on?!

"Preslie, let's go in." He noticed that she was stuck in place and urged her to go in.

She then took two steps in as Sheldon closed the door to the private room behind her.

He had planned on going in with her at first, seeing as how she might refuse their request. But now that she had been so supportive of their plan, there wasn't any need for him to.

Preslie would have a very pleasant chat with the president!

The door to the private closed shut which startled Preslie.

She turned around and was about to open the door again when she heard Tremaine speak, "Preslie, please have a seat. I have something to talk to you about. I need your help with something important."

Preslie was shocked.

She turned around and looked at Tremaine.

From her memory of him as the president of Nashaland, he had always been arrogant and annoyed with her. This was the first time he had spoken so politely with her. In fact, she noted that he hadn't referred to her as a troublemaker, like he usually did.

She looked at him blankly. She was very confused.

Tremaine had spent the time explaining things to her.

Preslie never imagined she'd see the day where Tremaine, a man of very few words, take the time to elaborate things in detail to her.

Even though Sheldon had already told her everything.

But, she noted that the story Sheldon told her differed from the one Tremaine was now telling her.

When Tremaine explained things to

her, she could see how wracked with

ne

guilt and regret Tremaine was from the inside. She could see how strongly he felt towards Yesseca and how deeply he regretted the things he did to her. He was very sincere in wanting to be with her again.

This rendered Preslie speechless for some time.

Tremaine had been so ruthless

towards Yesseca. But now, sitting across from her, the one mighty and proud Tremaine had humbled

himself. He had expressed how

wrong he was for the things he did and even lowered his stature in front of her as he asked for her help. All the hatred she had against him suddenly melted away.

She was feeling incredibly conflicted.

Faced with Tremaine's heartfelt request to help get Yesseca back, Preslie didn't know what to choose.

After a long moment of silence, Preslie said, Yesseca is a living a very good life now. You shouldn't barge into her life again." "She still loves me, so I can't leave her alone." A strong, determined light brimmed from within Tremaine's eyes. "I'm the only one who can give her happiness in her life."

Preslie was quiet.

She then whispered, "But you've hurt her terribly. Have you already forgotten? Now you're telling me that you're the only one who can make her happy?"

Tremaine felt a surge of guilt in his heart.

He had misunderstood Yesseca and had kicked her out of Nashaland. That was the worst mistake he had ever made in his entire life.

There was no denying that!

"Yes, I've hurt her." Tremaine said this hoarsely. "That's why I want to get her back. I will make it up to her for the rest of my life."
