As expected, Levi’s keen instincts as a detective made him quickly realize he had seen this button somewhere before. His brows furrowed, and an inexplicable tension rose in his heart.
He stared at the button, carefully observing it, as scenes rapidly flashed through his mind.
Suddenly, his eyes lit up, as if he had thought of something, and he dashed out of the morgue like a madman, heading straight for the hospital.
At the hospital, Ella was still lying in bed. Seeing Levi return, a hint of a delighted smile appeared on her face.
She didn’t notice Levi’s eyes darting to her clothes, as if looking for something.
At that moment, a storm was raging in Levi’s heart.
He stared intently at the missing button, his whole body beginning to tremble.
He knew this button was likely the key to unraveling all the mysteries.
“You rest well!” Levi tried to keep his voice calm, then turned and left the ward.
He returned to the station and secretly gathered a few trusted officers.
“The button in Isla’s stomach belongs to Ella,” Levi’s voice was low and firm. “I need you all to take turns monitoring her, but don’t let her find out.”
He told the nearest officer, “Go find all of Ella’s records. I need to see them.”
Every word revealed his determination and resolve.
The officers acted quickly, soon gathering the information and reporting it to Levi. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

He realized how foolish he had been, tricked by a woman all along.
Especially when he saw the hospital records, he fell into deep remorse.
It turned out Ella never had cancer, and he had
ad never checked to confirm it.
And he had never truly believed me.
Levi’s hands clenched tightly, tiny droplets of blood seeping from his palms.
His heart was filled with anger and self–blame. He wanted to seek justice for me.
