Chapter 1374 Benjamin Helps The Kids

Chapter 1374 Benjamin Helps The Kids

Benjamin glanced at Darius and Shaun, then leaned down to ask Arissa, “How would you like it prepared? Grilled, pan-fried, steamed, deep-fried, or as a stew?”

Arissa smiled, looking at Darius. “You should ask Dad.”

Darius burst into a hearty laughter upon hearing her answer. He finally caught a big fish and couldn't be happier.

“Arissa, let's prepare it the way you want it!”

Arissa glanced at them. When she saw that Darius truly didn't mind, she cast another glimpse at the fat fish.

“Let's use the head for spicy fish head stew, steam the belly, and fry the rest of the fish, shall we?”

Darius nodded with a smile, supporting the idea. “You've thought this through! The fish is quite large, so it can certainly be done as you said!”

“Mrs. Graham, have you already thought about how to prepare this fish earlier?” Shaun gave her a thumbs up.

Arissa smiled and replied, “I just feel like eating something with a stronger flavor!”

“Can you handle that much spice?” Benjamin eyed her skeptically. The spicy fish head stew was both spicy and salty.

“It's been a long time since I've had that dish, so I'll have it today!” Arissa looked at him, persuading, “Even if it's too spicy for me, the others can handle it!”

“I think Mrs. Graham's suggestions are quite good. Just because you can't handle spice doesn't mean you can stop us from eating it, Benjamin!” Shaun sided with Arissa, his mouth watering just thinking about it.

“Exactly! Even if you can't eat it, we can!” Darius chimed in before calling someone over to take the fish back to the kitchen to be prepared.

“I'll go have a word with Edwin. If you guys want to continue fishing, go ahead!” Darius said before quickly following the housekeeper at a brisk pace.

Shaun's gaze darted between Benjamin and Arissa before slipping away with a chuckle.

“I'll go help out. Keep Mrs. Graham company while she's fishing, okay, Benjamin?”

Arissa knew why they were eager to leave the site, so she couldn't help but find it amusing yet absurd. NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

She looked at Benjamin. “You're back a bit early.”

Otherwise, Old Mr. Graham and Shaun could've continued fishing without fearing a scolding from Benjamin.

With amusement shining in his eyes, Benjamin looked at her and asked, “How come you're in the mood to fish?”

In truth, Arissa wasn't particularly skilled at fishing. However, she was quite adept at catching them directly from the stream.

“Well... I've got nothing to do at home anyway. I'm just killing time with it!”

She wasn't even there to fish, to begin with, just sunbathing in the garden. When Darius came over and saw the fish in the lake, he got the idea to fish.

Then, Shaun joined him, and together, they started fishing enthusiastically.

She simply sat on the side, watching them fish.

Benjamin raised an eyebrow at her comment but didn't expose them. He sat on the stool, flicked the fishing rod, and began to fish.

Arissa glanced at him. “Are you fishing?”

“Yeah! I'll make you fish stew tonight if I catch one!” Benjamin's thin lips curved in a small smile.

The corner of Arissa's mouth twitched. Looks like I'll be eating fish all day today.

“You didn't even put any bait on the hook,” she reminded him.

Benjamin turned his head to look at her. His eyes filled with amusement. “Fishing is all about the joy of it!”

Arissa was rendered speechless again.

“The kids told me something in the morning after dropping them at school,” Benjamin mentioned to her, not forgetting the request the children had asked for his help with.

“What is it?” Arissa shifted her gaze from the lake surface to him.

“Yesterday, Regan went to their school to look for them.” Benjamin glanced at her.

Arissa's brows furrowed, creating a look of displeasure on her face. “He actually went to the school?”

“Not only that. He even wanted to take them out for a meal, but the kids turned him down. However, they did accept his monetary gift,” Benjamin relayed calmly. His gaze was fixed on her, carefully observing her emotions.

The displeasure on Arissa's face didn't fade as she asked angrily, “Did the children really accept it?”

Benjamin nodded. “They said the money is yours too and that it would be a waste to reject it.”

Arissa suddenly felt relief sweep over her because the children were absolutely right.
